Soft screws in tools and equipment

The screws that come with the kit are not strong enough to knock out a stubborn steering wheel. I broke two center pins and ended up having to buy another puller with hardened pins.

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • no instructions

Basic steering wheel puller

It did what it was supposed to do, after getting it and looking at it I could probably do it myself but I'm not paying much for it In return it did what I needed as long as it works with all other steering wheels and is worth what little money I paid for it.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Trade in

Fits steering wheel puller

Does the job I don't know why there are only two bolts but the wheel came loose. Better than yanking the steering column and causing damage. It took a few seconds to use! The only thing is make sure you tighten the screws with your fingers so you don't mix up the threads to get started so don't use force.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • old

Great expectations. - Puller

It looks like it would work well but it didn't have long enough screws or the right size for my 1989 Chevy G20 Van. The box has photos of an 80's pickup truck, Corvette, and hot rod, but I don't think they fit in any of those cars. I think this kit is for foreign cars.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Unreliable

Great for tools and equipment

I have a Grant steering wheel and until now I have always been able to get a steering wheel puller from an auto parts store. The problem is they rent/sell pullers with only two mounting bolts, not three bolts like Grant's handlebars. This puller actually aligns as you would expect and performs like a steering wheel champ. At the moment I haven't tried it on other brands, so check if it works with yours before you buy.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Mediocre quality - broke after a week - packaging needs more detail.

Broken in the first week Packaging incomprehensible. It is not specified what types of screws are included. The link to the product is also very vague. I bought it to extend the steering wheel of a late 1960's Toyota FJ40. I need Rat.Pro. Use plenty of penetrating oil. Turn about 1/4 turn every hour. Tap the wheel from behind with a rubber mallet. Leave the nut on the center shaft.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not fashionable
