I've always loved quilts but I only had quilts from my grandmother. This is the first store bought blanket I own, very different from the blankets I used to wear growing up. update. That "was" my favorite blanket. The background has faded, like tea stains giving it a vintage look. It has not been exposed to direct sunlight and has not been washed in aggressive detergents. They didn't even wash it that hard. It seemed that only the light from the window did it.
