Sponge ripped after a few days of use

It's been difficult to find a sponge of this size on the market lately. Happy to find it online. Have never used this brand. Sponges contain a lot of soap. It took over 20 times to run it under water to get rid of all the foam! Very annoying! After finally getting rid of all the soap the manufacturer put in it, it cleaned well until it broke after less than a week of use! The rest should not be returned. I'll use them until they break, and then I'll go back to Revane to find another brand.

Pros
  • has a cellulose sponge that easily picks up spills or loose dirt
Cons

Corrected to be perfect

Many years ago you could buy a thin 4 x 6 inch cellulose sponge, about 1/2 inch thick. I've been looking for them ever since, but they don't make them anymore. So I took a bread knife and cut some of those 1" thick 4x6" sponges in half. Like I cut a piece of bread. Cookies cut cleanly and evenly. Now I have 4x6" THIN the sponges are just how I like them. I use my modified fine sponges in the kitchen and for cleaning. Thin sections, easy to wring out with one hand, easier to use and to clean…

Nice big, but what is it made of?

I can't find a sponge of this size in the store anymore. This is exactly the big sponge I buy which is great for a quick clean in the kitchen or bathroom. (Who wants to clean all day with a tiny sponge? Not me) I didn't give 5 stars because this sponge takes forever to rinse out which I don't like. Old cellulose sponges could be rinsed out quickly with less water. It takes a lot of water to wash it off. I think standard sponges have more air pockets. This sponge feels too dense and almost…

Thick sponge that works well but I think the Ocelo is a bit better

I bought this sponge (and the Ocelo version) from Revain because I like this size (3.5" x 6).") are no longer commercially available. I've decided to try another brand in case I can't get the Ocelo brand in the future. Both work well - I use them as kitchen sponges. The ones I find in stores now are smaller versions that are too small and a size I despise. Ocelo feels a little more durable and a little less dense. Density is important to me when squeezing the sponge when rinsing, which ensures…

Decent quality kitchen sponges

These sponges are good but not as strong as Scotch-Brite/Ocelo sponges of the same size. Lately it is not possible to find a Scotch-Brite/Ocelo size cellulose kitchen sponge called "Universal Sponges" on the market. I LIKE THE SIZE OF THE UNIVERSAL SPONGE BECAUSE THEY ARE GOOD AND THICK. These kitchen sponges from the Hydra Sponge Company are high quality sponges. They are very absorbent and will last about two weeks of daily use before they "crack" and gradually begin to tear…
