H5608 8-Inch V-Block Clamps by Grizzly Review

I like these blocks because they are cheap and do the job. I usually work with them with trunks. I had to make some brass clamps to fit the screws so they wouldn't ruin the gun's finish. They are by no means professional, but I would recommend them if you don't have the money to buy more expensive blocks. Good value for money.

I didn't realize I was buying an open box. There is no mention of this in the description. i will send it back One of the clamps and one of the pulleys has been unwound and there is no shipping oil or grease on the parts. There is rust on the block and no paint on the yoke. I didn't open the rest of the parts. The styrofoam that came in the box is awful, it's crumbling and scattering little balls all over my office.

This is a good set at a good price, at least for my level of work. I mainly used them for drilling round parts on a drill press. The clamps are secure and all finishes are as accurate as I could measure as an amateur mechanic. A nice feature is that the V is larger on one side than the other, allowing you to work with a wider range of sizes. I have also used them in clamp builds as spacers along with 1-2-3 blocks.
