Very good sketchbook

This is one of the nicest toned albums I have ever bought. The paper is really smooth but has a good weight which I find lacking in other toned paper sketchbooks. It holds graphite and ink very well, and the hardcover and bookmark are definitely an added plus. The only thing I would be wary of is leaving oil or sweat on your hands, but it can be painted or painted over so it doesn't break the deal.

Pros
  • Perfect for ink, fountain pens and acrylic markers
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Not that it spoils the rest of the experience, but if you're particularly sensitive to smells, you won't like this. Great color paper. So far I have used ink, gel and acrylic. Fade or not fade. The cover has a nice texture and the red ribbon feels comfortable. Aesthetically, this notebook is incredibly pleasing to look at even before…

  • Charcoal hardcover with light gray paper inside

I've never used tinted paper, apart from a few experiments with very, very cheap cardboard that I picked up at the hobby store. I decided to buy the smaller of the two sketchbooks to try first. This paper is visually incredible. I use Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils and love the combination with the Hahnemule paper. The colors lay out flat and I can layer many…
