Flawless Threading Experience

When I tried this threading die, it gave me a flawless threading experience all throughout. This die is absolutely amazing; I never had to worry about any skipped or stripped threads. Its top-notch quality is evident in the overall performance. The precision and durability of this die are remarkable, making it a valuable tool for any industrial and scientific cutting project. The only downside I could say is that it's not the cheapest option out there, but it's totally worth its price.

Pros
  • Flawless threading experience, top-notch quality, precision and durability.
Cons
  • Expensive.

Excellent dies!

I had a Sears die set of this size but it didn't seem to cut as deep and smooth as this Hanson die. After using both dies on some nylon bolts for easier cutting, I tested the nylon bolts with both a steel nut and a nylon nut. Both nuts were relatively difficult to turn after using the Sears dice, but were easy to turn after using the Hanson dice. Please! I still have some "Hanson Dye" as spares for the future.

Pros
  • Threading die can be used with a wrench or socket when space is limited
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Economical choice for mild steel

Do not buy this one if you plan to rethread stainless steel. Get another one. Check with 9427. I have both 9427 and 6527. Both have a Hanson stamp The die itself does not have an Irwin stamp If you take them both out and take them out of your pocket and now you don't know which is which, my 9427 had "NC" after " 5/16 -18" and 6527 doesn't. Also, they look the same. 9427 comes in nice packaging, 6527 just in a plastic bag. The price of 9427 is more than twice the price! Does the packaging…
