I only needed one screw to attach the towel rail, otherwise I would have had to buy a new towel rail It would be difficult to to combine it with the rest of the installation.

A 3mm set screw for a bike part that was missing a screw cost over $9. There were 40 in this set and now it's 38 since I used one and dropped one. I can't imagine how angry I would be if I was crawling across the floor looking for a $9 screw and knew I didn't have a spare on hand.

These stainless steel metric set screws are just a set for the DIY and homeowner. Most plumbing and hardware products are made in Asia and use metric set screws. A small set with a good range of sizes and lengths avoids going to the hardware store to look for the right set screw.

I needed 3 hex head screws for the hidden magnepan speakers. I didn't know the exact size so I bought this large set: one of these should fit. it was like this. I received 20 screws instead of the 3 I need. The remaining 17 or any other sizes in this set will most likely never be used. But it's still nice to know that they're there when I need them.

Not used yet, the storage box could be sturdier but it's only small spare set screws so I guess no expensive storage boxes are needed. I end up dropping it off my desktop and finally using a magnet to pick it up and put it in a jar so I have to spend half an hour picking the one I need anyway.

Missing a screw when trying to fix a towel rail that kept falling off. The problem I didn't anticipate was the length of these screws. The matching screws (M4) were too short. (m4*4 and M4*6) are both too short and you can't just screw them in further because they don't finish flush. I solved this problem by inserting a much smaller bolt in the hole in front of the main bolt (like a gasket) and it worked, but the result was that the head was sticking out a bit.

I lost a set screw when installing a new door handle. It was almost impossible to tell (from the pen manufacturer's website) how big the screw was (tiny, very easy to lose). So I bought this pack hoping to find one that works. This set came and also had all the markings (e.g. screw size was in each little box) so I could easily identify it in the packaging in the future if I needed it later. That's a lot of little screws! But they seem to come in handy as I replace a lot of doorknobs.

Very handy to have on hand. One of the screw sizes I bought it for (set screw for adjusting bike calipers) was too short for me and it was a bummer. But the quality is excellent and the range is good too. I won't join them because they couldn't predict exactly what length I needed. All screws are individually packed in small ziplock bags.
