In the diet of a rodent, and indeed of any animal, there must be a source of protein. You can hope for a balanced diet or give complementary foods, knowing for sure that there is enough protein. In rodents, it can be replenished with boiled protein, boiled beef, non-fat fish, natural yogurt. And you can also give him great pleasure and buy dried flour worms. For hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice, this is a real gourmet dish, from which they are insanely delighted. Further like this: if you are…

Pros

Cons
  • No.

Everyone wants to treat their pet to something delicious, and I am no exception. After learning that our hamster was not getting enough protein from regular food, I purchased "Little one" mealworms. I warn you right away that it’s better for the faint of heart not to look at photos of worms))) Such worms are sold in a plastic jar with a screw-on lid, it is convenient to use it in the future for another type of food. When you open the jar, you can smell a pungent smell, but quite tolerable. Here

I'm afraid of them... but hamsters don't really appreciate...

Good day, readers! I would like to share with you my impressions of the Liittle One "Meal Worm" treat for rodents, a jar of which I recently ordered for testing for our small pets. The price per piece on the "berry" site was 147 rubles, which is several times lower than in pet stores (there the price is about 250 rubles). These worms are additional food, you should not get carried away - here it is like with vitamins. Under the twist-off lid was an additional foil protective film. These…

The Bluebirds give him two thumbs (if they had thumbs)!

We always had some bluebirds in our feeds (seed and fat). Since I started selling dried mealworms, the number of thrushes has skyrocketed. I fill the feeder with 4 or 5 scoops and move away from the feeder. Birds will not be visible. As I enter the house and turn around, 7 or 8 bluebirds are flying around the feeding station and 10 or more are circling overhead or sitting elsewhere waiting for their turn. I need to refill the feeder at least twice a day so a really good price of £11 helps a…

Chicken Crack at Birds

I open the bag. They're like dogs with meat scraps. Repeat as needed. I expect this to be a handy training tool for free rangers and get them back in the chicken coop. My chickens are totally hooked. I've heard you can breed your own worms, but it's a slow process and you'll have worms growing in your drawer if you eat oatmeal. But I think if you can afford it, that's a sign you're doing well financially. - and it should make you feel good.

Keeping Chicken Happy

I bought these after the ones I usually order had sold out and I am very surprised at how much more stock this store has compared to a similar brand. Our gals (chickens) like to peck at them and they make winter a lot easier for them as fresh bugs don't roam free in the snow. One or two handfuls a day make our 9 girls happy. I will definitely buy them again and not any other brand. I can fill almost 2 5 gallon food safety buckets compared to 1 and slightly more of another brand. The worms are…

If you want blue birds

Okay, dried mealworms sound terrible. I live in the Carlisle-Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania and two years ago we discovered that a bird bath heater resulted in literally over 10 bluebirds around our bird bath on very, very cold days. I ordered 5 pounds of dried mealworms last year and ended up having thrushes in my garden on a regular basis. This year I went insane and ordered this packet of mealworms. Eleven pounds doesn't seem like much until it's delivered, and it's about the same size as a

The birds love it and so do I

I feed a handful of mealworms with sunflower seeds in my wild bird feeders. This is the first to be sold out. I bought it from pet stores but it was quite expensive. These worms are large and well dried. Since worms are dry and light, 11 pounds is a huge bag (the size of a 40 pound bag of pet food) and should take months. I also add mealworms to homemade lard treats; 1 can of crunchy peanut butter, 1 pound of lard, 2 cups of coarse cornmeal (or more, enough to make it less greasy), 1 cup of…

Pros
  • It's amazing

  • Not as fat as the others

Small stones included --

I'm new to this company/retailer's larger 11 lb bags and I grind up dried mealworms for wild bird mixes. Unfortunately, that large bag I recently bought also contains several small rocks - about a quarter inch in size, but enough to break the mini chopper I use to prepare them. Of course, if you are feeding them to chickens, free range birds, etc., small rocks will NOT harm them while eating, but if you are using them in any other type of cooking, be careful! Addendum to this review - REALLY…
