Air compressor intercooler

Used as intercooler between air compressor pump and tank. The design ensures a very low pressure loss. The air in my aquarium is very dry!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons

Solved a problem on my Panther PTA 310.

Added this to the Allison Automattic transmission on my Steiger PTA310 because for some reason it got too hot after the overhaul. This solved the problem. And fast shipping!

Works perfectly! in Engine Oil Coolers and Kits

I bought this for my 2001 Ford Expedition with a 4R100 transmission. This cooler gets the job done, pulling a 5,000 pound (actual weight) RV down the road at 70 mph on a 90 degree day. Absolutely worth the money. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Finish
Cons
  • Expensive

High quality high flow cooler

High quality high flow cooler. I have used it as an air compressor aftercooler and it lowers the temp by over 200* with no fan but with kust abudut ambient fan. Draws out tons of water with an automatic drain filter afterwards. No problem, it could be used as a transmission or oil cooler.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Weight

Fits 2006 Chevrolet 2500hd Transcooler

I installed this on my 2006 Chevrolet 2500 8.1L with Allison Transmission. It comes with two sets of mounting hardware, so you don't have to order it separately. It sits a little low so I had to attach the transmission line to the driver's side first before attaching the radiator to the front.

Pros
  • Excellent Design
Cons
  • Weight

Compressed air aftercooler

Improperly used. Use as a heat exchanger for a forced air aftercooler fan. He played this role perfectly. No noticeable drop in air pressure or CFM from my 2 speed 60 gallon Quincy. The build quality is good and the price and size were perfect. Even at 120 degrees at the inlet, air comes out at ambient temperature. Placed above the air compressor so the condensate flows well to the separator or tank and my fans blow over the compressor pump and motor to cool them.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Cable shorter than other options

Great aftercooler for air compressors

This is a solid well made cooler. I installed it as an aftercooler on my air compressor and as you can see from the photos it receives limited airflow from the compressor. Vane-type spoked pulley to provide airflow over the compressor. I've found that the compressed air from the radiator is at ambient or body temperature, which releases a lot of moisture and doesn't heat up the downstream filters etc. I am very happy with the setup and the cooler. The only issue I had was the radiator was…
