Description of 🔦 H4 Single High/Low Beam Halogen Conversion Headlamp - Hella 003177001 - 164x103mm

HELLA's Halogen Conversion Headlamps replace the original sealed-beam headlamps in your classic vehicle with a modern, replaceable Halogen bulb. Based on European headlamp technology, HELLA’s Vision Plus produces a 50 percent more powerful low beam and a 25 percent more powerful high beam than standard halogen sealed beam headlamps. Replaces 6-1/2 inch x 4 inch rectangular sealed beam headlamps 4652, H4656, H4666, H4668, H6545, H6545BL, and HP6545. Kits contain (1) Halogen Conversion Lamp Assembly and (1) Dust Boot only. Lamps are ECE compliant and legal for on-road use only in Canada.

Great functionality, little more than the factory!

Great product. I have to say they sit a few millimeters further than my Sealed Beams with a factor of 4656. The chrome strip that holds the headlights in the car fits. but it's not 100% perfect. Guess I got lucky and most will be lucky. However, be wary of this fact if your car uses a different method of installation or if space up front is limited. Note that they sit about 1/8-1/4 inch farther from my high beam bulbs. (1987 Ford Crown Vic)

Pros
  • Bulbs are ECE compliant and only road legal in Canada
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Hella is the best. Purchased Hella Headlight

Hella Best. I've been buying Hella headlights for all my cars since 1986. The on-road beam pattern is perfect, with no hotspots or unlit areas. Installed this pair on our 1996 Fleetwood Flair Camper and Viola, now you can actually see the road. Note: I just recently tried a pair of LED Halo Projector Headlights and their radiation pattern was terrible. So don't waste your time with nameless quality spotlights. Just buy the best.

Pros
  • Replaces 6-1/2" x 4" Square Headlight 4652, H4656, H4666, H4668, H6545, H6545BL and HP6545
Cons
  • Negative Present

Great conversion but you have to reinstall the plug

After the replacement I had problems with the headlights on my old Sealed Beams. Really weird behavior like "off" is lit (and has 5v on the pins instead of 0 or 12). I finally found that the 3 pin connector on sealed carriers is NOT the same as the 3 pin connector on H4 bulbs. Pins H4, facing the back of the lamp with a horizontal pin UP - - left GND, middle LO, right Hi. All three pins need to be remapped from the sealed beam which is LO-HI-GND. The contacts in my connector were removed with a

Pros
  • HELLA halogen headlights for conversion Replace the original Sealed Beam headlights in your classic car with modern replacement halogen bulbs
Cons
  • Lots of things

Fantastic headlight. It's worth it!

I love them. Fits perfectly. Good light output. Cut the beam nicely. I installed them on a 1995 Chevy Blazer S-10. The lamp socket H6545 on the truck is a bit fiddly. Couldn't find an adapter to connect directly to the standard headlight connectors. Had to get an H4 adapter on one end and spatula on the other to plug into an outlet on the truck. I wanted to keep the original sockets on the truck in case I ever need to reinstall the seal headlights. Very high quality lens made of high quality…

Pros
  • Kits include only (1) Halogen Adapter Assembly and (1) Dust Cover
Cons
  • Clarity
