My bag came exactly as pictured. I prefer to carry small shoulder bags than large purses/bags. This bag is perfect for all the little things I need to take to work, on the plane and everywhere. The nylon strap is adjustable and secure. The material of the bag itself is of good quality, it has been preserved since the purchase a few months ago. Definitely recommend.

I bought this bag because I was looking for something not very girly. I carry a Herschel laptop bag to work and this bag goes great with it. I was impressed with the quality of the Herschel bags - I work on several job sites and this hatched gray fabric hides dirt and is durable. Everything I need fits in the bag - iPhone, charger, wallet, keys and a small cosmetic bag. Buy it!

Bought for on the go. The size is good. Strap length is great but strap material is terrible and cheap. I also wish there was an internal zip on the outside of the wallet, or two, or maybe one. There is a grid, but it's useless. You should have done without that and installed either a zippered pocket divider or an inner pocket. I have a wallet from the same company that I love but this wallet sucks.

Although the quality of the bag is okay, the size of Alder's US version is in an odd place. Not big enough for a tablet, too big for essentials (feels like carrying a large binder for nothing). The size is deceptive, I would review the Herschel bag before buying. I would like Herschel to sell Alder Mini or Japanese EX here, they seem like the right size for everyday use.

Overall I'm happy but just wish the little loop at the top of the bag was a little stronger. When I carry the bag, the loop that is supposed to hold the strap that lengthens the bag slips off. The design flaw is clear. But overall I like the bag. Holds my phone, mask, wallet, pepper spray, keys and lip balm. This is what it looks like in the photo with everything in it. My favorite part is the patch on the bottom of the bag.

The bag is cute and I like Herschel products. But I wouldn't recommend this bag if you plan on carrying it as a crossbody bag. The belt rubs against the neck and causes pain. I always carry shoulder bags and have never had this problem. I wish this handbag had a wrist handle so it could be carried as a large wrist bag. I was about to return but they charged over $7 to return a wallet which cost around $20.

I bought it to use occasionally but now I use it every day because I love it so much! I just throw it over my shoulder and go! I even took it on a road trip with my girlfriend and it was perfect and included everything I needed. I wanted something I could reach quickly and take my cards or money with me, but this would hold it securely and it does the job! I can use it with my super casual outfit or when I want to look a little more elegant. It is very versatile, functional and durable!
