Haven't tried it yet, but the result leaves much to be desired.

What can I say assuming the R8 is shaped right it's nothing special. There are obvious sanding marks and the finish is pretty poor but it should work and for the price I wouldn't expect more.

Pros
  • Made from strong hardened steel
Cons
  • Not sure

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Solid, accurate, profitable.

Exactly what I needed. Stable with four set screws and the cone is tight even before it is screwed into the drawbar. Don't have the infinite patience to build your own ( I'm looking at you old Tony), grab this and some HSS footage and start cutting.

Pros
  • Drawbar End Thread 1/2"-13
Cons
  • Wrinkled

Good milling cutter R8

Because of the thread on the shaft I wanted to deduct a star or two. They were wound diagonally and my turn would not start without trying to cross the thread. I was ready to return it but decided to have it repaired. Luckily I started threading right after beveling the end and got a good inch of thread so all is fine. The cutter itself is very good and holds a left-handed 3/8 cutter very well. It works flawlessly and makes a very smooth cut. The balance is very good at 900 rpm on my Grizzly…

Pros
  • Counterweight
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
