I have done bad things in my past lives.

Something about this chair reminds me of puritanical New England. It's hard as stone. The seat feeling is a bit hard. However, my comfortable, padded old desk chair sank so far that I reached for the keyboard like a little kid at the dining table, and the ensuing neck and shoulder pain was motivation enough to start looking for a replacement. I followed Wirecutter's advice and got this one. It was easy to put together myself, feels solid, and for the first time in years I'm looking down at the…

Blacksmith, you failed me!

I agree with most of the reviews on this chair - it's sturdy, fairly easy to assemble, fits a medium adult, is easily adjustable, and the mesh back is definitely a breathable choice. But all this is not enough, because the seat cushion is VERY hard. I'm a 130 lb, 5ft 6 in person and this seat cushion regularly numbs my ass after sitting for an hour or more. Really disappointing and there's nothing I can do to fix it (even sitting on a cushion doesn't help/ruins the ergonomic seat it's supposed…

Poor quality chair, false advertising, overpriced

This chair is advertised with a seat that can be moved back and forth. The video shows the lever that allows this adjustment. That does not work. When the lever is turned on, the seat does not slide. The seat tilt adjustment doesn't work either. There is no resistance or voltage change when the chair is tilted. The advertised features just don't work. Also, the pillow is very hard. This is not a chair that is comfortable to use all day. The lumbar support also moves freely up and down. You…

The chair is very high. Made for a person 5ft 11in or taller.

I was so disappointed after assembling this chair. It's too tall for me and I'm 5'10". My feet barely touch the ground, just the ball of my foot, but no healing on the lowest settings. Also, the chair's armrests don't fit under my desk. I figured adjustable meant, that I could drop them when not needed and tuck them under the table but that's not the case they just rise which again suggests this is a chair for tall people the seat is firm as others have implied but I think that's actually an…

Destroyed structural part.

I bought this chair for my home office about 6 months ago. Today I leaned back slightly to reach a piece of paper on my printer and suddenly one of the spider legs that attach the wheels to the chair broke and I was sprawled on the floor. I weigh about 175 pounds, which is quite the weight of the chair, and I have not used the chair for anything other than sitting at my desk. The chair is reportedly covered by a 3-year warranty, but the Hon website suggests customers contact their point of…

Despite the indication HON, MADE IN CHINA! Revane won't let you know.

WOW! I received a recording of HON HVL721 today. Made in the USA?! NO! The packaging says Made in China. I was completely misled by HON and Revain. I wanted an office chair made in USA, not CHINA! Did a lot of research and chose HON based on the information on their website. This is copied from the HON website: Made in the USA. HON adheres to the American operating model, which is rare in today's furniture business. With significant investments in new, state-of-the-art manufacturing and…

Very high and very hard seat.

Two things you need to know about this chair. It's VERY high and the seat is very firm. In the lowest seating position, it is 20 inches from the floor to the seat surface. high for me I have a Volt and this chair is at least 2 inches taller. Please note that the standard seat height for most chairs is 18 inches. I can't understand why Hong rated this so highly. I am returning it mainly for this reason. The seat cushion is just uncomfortably hard. I'm not a fan of chairs that are too soft, but…

Fast Response - Will update over time

To give a little context I once had a Herman Miller Aeron chair - it was great until it started falling apart which is about 2 years later started. I was shocked at the cost. Then switched to a more expensive IKEA chair - for that price I could buy a new one every year for 5 years and still save money compared to the Herman Miller chair (and I didn't have to buy it every year, I ran closer to each). 2.5-3 years). It was time for a replacement and I decided to revisit the market to see if there…

Ultra high chair shortened with custom gas cylinder

tl;dr: This chair is so high that I couldn't sit at my desk because my legs won't fit under it at minimal chair height. I ordered a much shorter gas bottle online (from China) to shorten the chair and now it's perfect. Longer Version: I saw some reviews that mentioned this chair being big but ignored them. A chair comes, I put it together and on the lowest setting I can't even put my feet under the table. My feet don't reach the ground either (I'm 5ft 5in). Above all, a chair cannot be truly…
