Worked great in my 55,000 BTU Coleman Gas Oven

As the title suggests, it was perfect for my 55,000 BTU Coleman Single Burn Gas Oven. I wanted to add this information to possibly help someone with the same stove as it is old but lasts forever and there is usually little information about it. 24" is the perfect length for a perfect fit and takes less than 10 minutes to install!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues

Exactly what the utility told me!

After two very windy days I found I had no hot water! I called the utility company to light my water heater which is in a closet in front of the house. He told me that the thermocouple was probably defective. He told me exactly what to buy and how to replace it. Well, after he lit the kettle again, he didn't come back to me. I now have one on hand when I need to replace it!

Pros
  • Best in the niche
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Again saved a lot of $$$ and hot water!

My AO Smith Gas Water Heater has no hot water. The burner did not burn. I did a little research and found this to be a bad thermocouple. Went to YouTube for advice on how to replace yourself. Most plumbers want to replace the ENTIRE WATER HEATER. This universal thermocouple arrived in a few days. pulled out the burner block. removed the faulty thermocouple and replaced it AGAIN with this Honeywell & HOT WATER and also saved a lot of money by doing it myself.

Pros
  • Annual Trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Pay attention to the thread direction of your device

I'm giving five stars because I was able to get it to work, but I wish the flow direction was clearly marked. Mine was left hand threaded, luckily the metal is soft and I was able to pull the screw in the fitting just tight enough, had to add some solder to get to the positive sensor but all is good. This could have been avoided if I had done better research, but I made a deal with the Revain warehouse and can't complain about a working water heater after spending $8 including overnight…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Slightly better price than the local big box type for house renovation.

Slightly better price than what they sell in local big home renovation boxes, but no sales tax (at least for now) (but of course state use tax is paid when I file the tax return.) I keep a few hand in case they fall out (about once a year when the heating season is really in full swing). Check youtube and the like for how to test them and what causes them to "fail" if you want, but for $10 I'll just try to remember to use them every year im to change late autumn. (;

Pros
  • Nicely packaged
Cons
  • No

Versatile, inexpensive - but there are better options

Pros - versatile, inexpensive. OEM) that came with my Burnham boiler took over 7 years to complete. So I just recently bought an OEM thermocouple from SupplyHouse.com. Your customer service has been exceptionally helpful with FREE next day shipping. The cost is $21. This OEM thermocouple fits perfectly, no adapter rings etc. Visually it looks like a much more robust version. I expect this one to last a lot longer than the generic type. So you have a choice: a cheap one with a short lifespan or…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Consult a professional before going cheaper.

I needed a new heater for my garage and the original heater lasted a few years. I only have a pilot in Michigan on fire 6 months out of the year. I replaced it with this one and am now changing it every fall for 2 years. I'm not an HVAC guy, just mechanically intelligent. It was only $8 or so and I ordered 2 to have 1 on hand. Maybe it's cheap and there's a reason for it, or maybe I could spend 40-50 on the best and not change it every year. I believe an HVAC specialist would be able to give…
