This is a good low beam heater. The plastic case will not burn you. I wouldn't heat an entire room with it, that would take too long. After a month of use, the fan bearings started to wear out and now the fan is noisy. It does the job, but it slows us down. When it comes to durability I would choose something else.

This heater works great in my caravan. Small size, quiet operation and heat dissipation work well in a small space. I bought three of these and am happy with all of them. If it starts making noise or shortening its cycle, you'll need to disassemble it from time to time to blow accumulated dust and debris out of the fan and control area. Once completed, it will work like new again.

This is a powerful heater with a nice design and good safety features. The handle isn't ergonomic, but that's okay as it's light and I don't move it often. The problem is that the controller and/or thermometer doesn't work at all. I set it to 65F and sometimes it reaches 80F in the room but the thermometer on the unit still reads 65F. When it works, it sometimes turns on/off once per second for a few seconds. If temperature control is needed, I would choose a different model.

Yes it heats BUT you have no way to control the temperature. The digital temperature controller is preset to 5 degree increments. I needed for a small living room. I can use the digital controls to choose between 75 degrees (too cool for me) or 80 degrees (too hot for me). Yes, human skin can tell the difference. I like the previous version of this heater. This is my absolute favorite heater! I have an old model and ordered a new one because I thought the old one was nearing the end of its life. It just needed a good cleaning and still works great. This heater warms my living space very well during the day and is especially useful when temperatures get unseasonably cold to keep us warm and cozy. I bought it two years ago and I am very happy with it. When I needed another one (the first one still works) I just wanted to buy the same model as I was already a fan of this product. Unfortunately, the current model has a constant problem keeping the room temperature around 70 degrees. If I set it to 65 degrees it goes to 66. But if I set it to 70 it goes to 75 and 75 goes to 77. The problem with most of them is that they just can't heat a room well because they rely on forcing air through a heating element and blowing it around the room.
