Check with the manufacturer before purchasing.

This does NOT apply to the 2007 Highlander Hybrid as confirmed by Revain at the time of purchase. According to the Hopkins website, this is for 2006 and earlier. This only applies to 2007 models without LED taillights. Try 46365 instead.

Wire Installation

You have a good idea for the wire harness, but it's missing a braid going to the trailer and the wire going to the right tail light is too short. I took my time and was able to complete the project, install the hitch, add the braid and have lunch in one day. I see myself as a beginner mechanic. The most frustrating moment was running the power cable from the battery to the block in the back of the car. You have to be very adaptable to place the device in the designated place in the back of the…

Connector corrodes quickly

I installed this system professionally in 2015 on my 2005 Highlander along with the tow kit because I figured I might need it one day. I have never used it until today. When I tried to remove the rubber plug from the connector, I noticed that it was stuck. After more pulling, the lid finally came off. and surprise, surprise, the metal connections inside the lid were 100% rusted. I paid money for this part and I paid money to install it only to never use it! 100% disappointed with this product…

Azera: Almost perfect.

I bought this for a 2007 Hyundai Azera. I'm fine and clean. Installing the power cord took longer than the rest of the system. My complaint about this item was that the connectors wore all but one of the wires. When I first installed this item, I noticed that some of the brake/running lights were not working (the ones not on the trunk lid), but the turn signals, reverse, and lights on the trunk lid worked fine. You can drive the car just fine, but skimping on a cable is a bit ridiculous. In the

So close to perfect.

I ordered this for my 2004 Highlander and found it to be very professionally built - and it solved the problem of connecting a 4 pin spade connector to a Toyota that has independent cornering and brake lights - You will need some sort of diode setup to prevent feedback between the two systems when the trailer lights are connected. Two defects - one that I thought was serious and one that I "wish to have". The main downside is that the spade connector was too big to fit through the factory…

07 Highlander Hopkins Kit

I bought this at a bargain price thinking it would be a great purchase for my 07 Highlander but had some issues with it unlike other reviewers with an older Highlander. First, the hardest part of the installation is powering the battery. The best option for me was to connect to the auxiliary power and solder a good contact there. The only downside to this is that the wire I spliced was a smaller gauge than the wire that came with it, but with LED lighting I think power consumption will be…
