Not durable, best in manual fuel pumps

Used 3 times to fill up my boat, 15 gallons total. It broke on the fourth attempt to use it. Have had it for about 4 weeks. Everything was fine when it worked, but the pump itself didn't seem to hold up. The idea is good, the quality not so good.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Do not buy this product!

Wrong design. Broke after the third use. The piston has a threaded metal rod attached to a rubber bushing inside the cylinder. The threaded rod enters the plastic center without the nut on the other side of the hole to secure the threaded rod. The threads on the rod are pulled out of the plastic vessel, thus lengthening the hole. This pump is a waste of time and money.

  • Free for educational purposes

Not for an oil change

30 minute bleed to drain 2 liters of oil. Thought it would make it easier to change the oil between filter changes. Just wanted to pull out 4 liters and change to fresh oil. Each pump removes about a teaspoon of oil if you're lucky. Might work with a lawn mower but with more than half a liter of oil and you might as well raise and lower the machine. If the red hose hadn't crushed the flat part with the dipstick adapter, you might be fine.

Very flexible pump

I've been looking for a pump that works well and is not expensive for a long time. This pump is the answer. It works very well with minimal manual effort to activate the action. I've used it to pump old gasoline out of my generator and it did the job in a minute or two with no leaks. Before that I had 3 different pumps that either didn't work well or spilled gas on my garage floor. I tried this pump thinking if it doesn't work well it won't cost me much. To my surprise, it worked very well as a

The three handle is the best keg and hand pump

If you suck liquid out of the tank through the hose, everything is fine. But I've used it to swallow excess water in my houseplants' saucers. The problem was that I had to hold the suction hose with one hand, operate the pump itself with one hand, and operate the plunger with one hand. (I was able to leave the drain hose standing long enough so that it didn't jump out of the bucket I was collecting excess water in.) So unless you have a second person (or three hands), you'll find yourself…

Great product for $11. To update.

Needed something to transfer fuel from my plow to my garden tractor, I had to leave the hoses in the sun to soften them due to kinks from the packaging, an hour later I decided to try it, the hose went easily into the fuel filler neck, leaving just enough to access the pump handle, pumped it up maybe 4-5 times, checked the flow and sucked, just like that, it took less than 3 minutes to fill a gallon of fuel to get. I would buy another one if I ever needed one. The only real issue I had was the…

Forget about draining gas from your lawn mower or other garden equipment.

I bought this to drain the gas and oil from my lawnmower and edger. It was blister packed on arrival and the tube was naturally bent to fit the packaging. However, if you don't have a hair dryer, you may need to place the hose in a warm oven to soften it so it can be straightened and used. If you think you can dump the gas out of a lawnmower, then you can't unless the lawnmower is well above the pan you're dumping. This works by gravity, of course, so the mower or other equipment must be big…

Best Used At Garage & Shop

I can't remember why I bought this item but I never used it until I had to service the transmission on my 99 Silverado 5.3 4WD. Since I didn't really have the money to even do the job and it had to be done with this used truck I bought and was 20,000 miles overdue, I was in a situation. All of these first generation engines have transmission drain tubes that tend to strip the bolt head when attempting to remove them due to poor construction. Without enough money to lower the sump and replace…
