Outperforms most stove heaters. *Great product

One of the best products I have used. love its simplicity. As well as the accuracy of the temperature control. It's smaller than some heaters of this caliber and is easier to hide. Also, it doesn't break, so you can easily hide it behind rocks or put it in a very aggressive aquarium. I will definitely buy more of these radiators.

Unreliable - fish and aquatic animals

I've had the device since January. 2019. I had a fever of 77 degrees. It maintained a stable 76.3 degrees. Today (May 4, 2019) it rose to 98.7 degrees and killed 95 percent of my fish.19, bye. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SYSTEM TO ANYONE WANTING TO KEEP FISH LIVELY AND HEALTHY. Such a shame. The woman is heartbroken. It took quite a long time before we had the stock in my beautiful tank.

Great quality, great look! Highly recommend

Great little heater, I will definitely be buying these for my larger aquariums too! It is visually very appealing in the pool and the controls are easy to use. When I installed this heater on a new tank, I intentionally added water that was about 4° lower than when I installed the heater. A few hours later I came back and checked, the temperature was exactly 76 degrees, right where I set it. The temperature is stable, without jumps, falls and rises.

Heater died after 7 months

It actually worked pretty well until it failed. For the money I paid for this heater I expected a little more life than the 7 months I got from it. I've tried contacting the manufacturer but haven't received a response yet, based on some of the other one star reviews I expect I won't. If I'm satisfied, I'll be happy to update this review. ***UPDATE*** I got a reply from Hygger and they are sending me a new heating element. I added a few more stars to my rating. As I started to say it was a good

Good heating! good for fish and aquatic animals

I installed a heater in my 36 gallon aquarium and it increased the water temperature from 71 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit in about 3 hours. it holds steady at my set temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit. The heater turns back on when the temperature drops 1 degree, then sets it back to the set value. I installed the heating element horizontally on one side of the tank (on the back glass using the included suction cups) and the controller temp sensor on the opposite side. side of the tank (side…

Broken after a month

After a little more than a month of use, the malfunction started, the return time has just expired. My GCFI outlet started turning off and after troubleshooting I found that the problem was with my new heater. To date there have been no problems with it and nothing has been added or changed. Pretty disappointing. It wasn't very accurate either, I set it to 77 degrees and my tank was too warm at 81 degrees. I thought maybe something else was heating the tank, but when I was forced to switch to a

Mixed feelings - fish and aquatic animals

The temperature seems to stay fairly constant, but I have to keep an eye on it because it can sometimes creep a degree in either direction . It's a bit confusing to set up. Metal doesn't break (obviously), but gets very hot. I recently found one of my fish attached to it. I'm not sure if she fried or died of natural causes and then got stuck. Pretty rough anyway, but I can't compare it to other heaters, so I'm not sure if this sometimes happens. When I received this device, their website did…

Forget old glass tube heaters.

After years of buying glass tube radiators and even trying to control them with external thermostats, I've finally invested in one. Great performance for my 90 gallon tank and the temperatures and settings outside the tank and in sight couldn't be better. There is no more algae on the heater, so it is not possible to check the temperature setting or see the light. A temperature sensor can be installed at the other end of the tank to let you know the entire tank is at the correct temperature…

Very good controller! To do this, use another heater.

"We do not recommend the use of this thermostat with other brands of heaters due to safety reasons." Another heater with a built in thermostat SHOULD be used with this controller. If the temp sensor is pulled out of the water (this happened to me and I didn't notice too late) or if this controller fails (other reviewers had this issue but not mine), the heater stays on. and kill your fish. The controller uses a simple mechanical relay to turn the heater on and off, so you can use ANY heater (or
