Someone says it's cool! Someone says it sucks?

This is the second Iceprobe cooler purchased. In my 5 gallon tank the first temp drops from 80F to 75F. I want to lower 75F to optimal 71F. The result is measured with JW's intelligent temperature thermometer. 1) Judging by the comment, hydroponic users appreciate this chiller for its reservoir (plastic), while aquarium users (glass) dislike this chiller. It's scary, but it's bad news.

Bought to cool the aquarium Fluval Sea Evo 13.5 gal. Considering that the ambient temperature at night is around 27 degrees, the water temperature in the aquarium never drops below 79 degrees, so the one working with IceProbe Temperature control set to 79 degrees. With this setting, the water temperature stays at 82 degrees throughout the day. , the ambient temperature is 87 - 89, so the IceProbe has no trouble keeping the temperature. UPDATE - After 1 year and 9 months the Peltier sensor died.

Fits on the back pan of my nano tank with a little adjustment. The bad (nothing special): If you live in a very warm place with no internal air conditioning in your house. - It's pretty bulky. It worked in my aquarium but with some tweaks. My probe isn't fully submerged, but I'm not using it as instructed. Overall I'm still satisfied. There is no…
