the verdict has not yet been made. Had to be replaced but service is great.

There were some problems and the slides were not clear when scanned. Manufacturer support is very helpful. They said it was a defective unit and I sent it back. Maybe I'll like it better if it actually works. He scanned photos very well. The negatives turned out great too. Doesn't slip much but I hope the replacement does the job. I ordered a 64GB stick but it doesn't read the card. Maybe that's the problem with him and why he's coming back. I will come back and update this review as soon as…

Ok, but more guidance would be nice.

I have 68 photo albums and two boxes with slide boxes. There is a learning curve and not everything is in the manual. I've tried calling for information over the phone, but I can't stand long conversations. The information on the Internet is the same as in the prospectus. This is quite enough to copy to the hard drive. Goes slow with very old photos that vary in size. The color on the slides needs to be adjusted to make the bright scenery look like it should. I had to learn too. Slides take…

easy to use, great results

If you have the patience to put film negatives in the pouch provided, this device will accurately restore those images. A little film processing afterwards is probably appropriate, but even if you have prints from these negatives, some post-scan processing is likely to be required. There is a separate application for slides and again the same correct results. A photo app is pretty bad though. The scanned results leave jagged edges around the scanned photo which is clearly not as sharp as the…

It's pretty easy to use and easy to connect.

Pretty easy to use and easy to connect to my PC. It connects to my PC via a USB cable and uses it to power it (you can also use the included power adapter). If you want to transfer pictures to a PC, put it in transfer mode and just like a USB drive, you can open it in Windows and copy and paste the files. You can also remove them from the PC, which is much easier than removing them using the software on the device. I use it to digitally scan old family slides. There are certainly better and…

Does exactly what it promises.

I have scanned over 600 negatives and over 100 slides so far, absolutely easy to use. It scans immediately when you press the "Scan" button. It's like taking a picture. You then save it to your SD card by pressing the second button. Then (assuming you have connected the USB cable to your computer after creating the batch of images) press the mode button and transfer the files from the SD card to the computer for cleaning, editing and save. An excellent and inexpensive way to convert old…

Perfect, easy to use, highly recommended.

No complaints. Easy to use and have already digitized hundreds of old, vintage photos with it. While some have complained about the need for a larger frame, I easily overcame this when I had photos smaller than the frame by inserting blank photo paper so it was on top of the photo, around the top edge of the frame to achieve and that kept image without falling and inside the device. I had an image in the device and had no problem getting it out. I just put a small piece of wood inside to hold…

It's not perfect, but it will cost a lot more money.

I have been in the media transfer business for 20 years. I rarely work with slides, so I decided to go with something more modern than the system I was using. I have to say I was surprised at how well this machine scanned slides. It's not perfect, but it will cost a lot more money to get near-perfect results. The bottom line is that the slide looks good, then the scanned image also looks good. If you're shooting on a cloudy day, the image tends to be dominated by some blue. I've found this to…

Not the best I've bought but it will work for mine.

Not the best I've bought but good enough for my purposes. Is a stand alone "camera in a box" and comes with an SD card so you can take a bunch of pictures before uploading them to your computer (either by reading the SD card or by connecting a device, which then acts as a flash drive). . .) The device also has a small internal memory that can hold about 20 pixels - note that this memory is "hidden" when an SD card is inserted. A common comment is that the device "crops" your images, assuming a…
