I'm a chef in a seaside hotel and we're going to crack a lot of fish! These tongs are best for removing pin bones without damaging the meat. They fit perfectly in the hand and can be disassembled to clean them properly. I have 2 pairs of these pliers. The first pair broke after about a year of heavy commercial use, most likely misused by users. It was a shared pair used by at least 10 people. I would buy them again!

Finally someone has invented the best fishing tongs. I clean a lot of bones from sockeye fillets. Hands down this work quickly and cleanly. The tips still grip the bones even after loading small pieces of salmon meat. Curved tips grab bones easily. They can be easily disassembled and cleaned in the dishwasher. The best it can be is I have used many fish pulling pliers over the years and they are amazing.

I can't imagine not having these bones for boning fish. This year we order 2-3 whole salmon and without these tongs we would reach for a normal tong out of desperation. The jaws are not grooved, which could potentially be a problem. They've worked well so far and if this turns out to be a problem I can just use coarse sandpaper to give some grip. I would say if you are considering these just consider the size as the quality is definitely there.

I am so excited about this product. I tried to get cod bones with it and wasn't very impressed, also all the information on the outside of the holder they sent was in Japanese. I cant speak Japanese. If Americans buy this product, they should be able to read a little bit about the product first. Second, it would be nice to see a detailed guide showing how to use the product.
