Worked great - highly recommend

I used this cable to clone a 1TB SATA SSD from my MacBook Pro's hard drive. Worked perfectly! This took longer than I was hoping as my old MacBook only supports USB 2.0 (not 3.0 like the product supports). I would highly recommend this cable to anyone who needs to clone or copy 2.5" SATA drives.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Very well done in computer accessories and peripherals

The connector bodies are metal and look like they will last. The cable could have been a few inches longer but looks well made and a good size. Unified SATA may not go well with some connectors, but it has worked with everything I've used for it so far. I'm generally happy with the adapter so far and will buy a version with a longer cable when it comes out.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Legacy model

This USB to SATA adapter is reliable, has excellent performance and works with a wide range of low-power SATA devices. I have a number of hard drives that needed organizing and this was the crucial bridge in this project. I watch movies and even boot my Raspberry Pi 4 from it. This is much faster than loading micro SD cards. I wrote this review after purchasing a second device to use with the Netgear router's Readyshare SMB feature. I highly recommend this product. You will not be disappointed.

Pros
  • High Speed 5 Gbps Output
Cons
  • Disappearance

Not compatible with TRIM!

This cable has been added to my collection of non-TRIM USB to SATA cables. Although I know of a manufacturer that claims to make a TRIM compatible cable, it is too long for my needs. I have yet to find a short cable like this that is TRIM compatible. What is the problem with USB to SATA cable manufacturers still making cables that are not TRIM compliant? It's 2021, not 2008. Tired of not being able to find TRIM compatible cables hence the one star rating! Edit: A few weeks after I asked if this

Pros
  • Slim and portable
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

One of the best SSD adapters, firmware update required for TRIM

This is a very well built adapter and probably the only one that has an aluminum body in a compact form. The aluminum body helps keep it cool if you intend to use it 24/7 like I use for my RP4. It has an RP4 (Raspberry Pi) compatible ASM1153E chipset. It comes with ASMedia firmware version 140704_A1_00_00 which does not support TRIM. You must update the firmware to version 141126_A1_EE_83 (the latest firmware for this chipset from ASMedia at the time of writing) to support TRIM. With this…

Pros
  • Fast access to SATA SSD or HDD
Cons
  • Some bugs
