I purchased these to replace an alternative unit that no longer works. While I'm very happy with this unit, the pump shuts off fine, I use it every day to fuel the bike and I don't want to have fuel everywhere. The suction pipe is longer so that it reaches the bottom on some gas cans.

Works great. Lasts long, pumps fast, works great. Only downside is it smells like fuel so I put it outside for a day or two and forgot about it. The same goes for any pump. Therefore, excellent value for money, suitable for almost any situation of transferring fuel from a portable tank.

Great idea. I can only report my impressions. Most of the time it won't turn on. If I flip the switch a few dozen times, it works. It worked 6 times (with difficulty), it's nice, but the work is only sometimes disappointing. Yes, of course I changed the batteries. Multiple times. 12/6/20: now dead. No, when it worked it took a very long time. I would not recommend this product based on my experience.

I'm so tired of those new "anti-spill" grommets that have to be squeezed while holding the gas bottle in the first position! I always end up spilling more gas than the old regular spouts! This pump is a great replacement. I dropped the spouts and bought red caps to keep the gas bottle closed until I was ready to fill. My batteries are getting a little tired after running about 30 gallons this season; We ride quads regularly. So far the pump is working great!

I was torn between buying this (or similar) or a manual rotary drum pump. The barrel pump is (I think) much stronger and more durable. If you fill up a motorcycle you know that today's modern gas cylinders are PIA and slosh gas everywhere. This pump works great. Put the side of the pump in the fuel tank, the hose is long enough to reach a motorcycle or car tank, turn it on, it pumps over 2 GPM and the auto shut off really works!
