I needed a pump to drain the fuel tanks on a toy dump truck in front of a winter environment. Most electric pumps either have a handle, like a gas pump, or an inlet light for filtering, or both. Also, they are too short to be useful. This one, although manual, has two long, thin hoses so it can get anywhere I need to go. As long as the output is lower than the input, it will start pumping automatically after starting, although this is quite slow. I tended to use the pump grip to increase speed.

This little pump was great. Came with everything you need to get the job done. I needed to remove 14 gallons of diesel from my BobCat Skidsteer 7753 loader with enough suction to pick up debris from the bottom of the tank. He had to lift and move the fuel and suspected contaminants about 1-1/2 feet to place in a clear container for inspection. It took about 30 minutes to pump out the tank which is about 1/2 gallon per minute. A good exercise for the arms and upper body. Not difficult to work…

I bought this to pump gas out of a gas tank. The item has arrived in excellent condition. My only objection is that the clamshell is difficult to open, but that has nothing to do with how the product works. It was easy to attach two hoses to the pump. Ha-ha-ha! It worked! I had to pump over 5 gallons of gas out of the jet ski. Same last year, my buddy had to partially disassemble the ski to release gas. The kinks in the tube where the gas enters the tank prevented it from going right in where the gas enters the ski. Hmm, so I ordered that for 2019. 2 bends in the hose on this jet ski but the flexible hose on this went straight into this tank! There will be no demolition this year.
