The strong lock head is designed for desktop PCs and other devices. 5mm Keying System featuring patented anti-pick Hidden Pin Technology. 2 adapters and cable trap secure peripheral accessories. Anchor plate allows devices without a Kensington Security Slot to be locked securely. 8-foot carbon steel cable is cut-resistant and anchors to desk, table or any fixed structure.

It's worth calming down.

The back of the monitor where the locks are attached is plastic so I don't know how secure it is. But having said that I bought it to backup my son's college desktop and whether it works or not it certainly gives me peace of mind. What's worth it.

Good Lock Computers and Accessories

Works very well! I used it for both my old desktop and my new one. The only thing you need to keep in mind when installing on a device is to place it on a part that cannot be removed. For example, my new desktop allows you to remove both sides of the case. So if I put it on one side someone could steal the entire desk except for one side door. Definitely recommend!

Good as a deterrent

Well made product. Reliable lock and thick cable. In fact, the cable is so thick that it's not very flexible, making it difficult to thread it through all of my peripherals. The glue isn't strong enough to hold it when someone pulls hard, so I'm trying liquid nails. Not sure if this will work. I bought this for my home computer system because I live in a high theft area where break-ins are common. The product is well made and works well as a deterrent. Any thief willing to cut wires and locks…

A good deterrent solution that lets petty thieves know about BTFU. A limitation.

I have now moved into a new coworking space with a separate desk. Until I switch to a real office suite, my computer and monitor remain in the public domain. I don't worry too much about my surroundings: I trust 99% of my community, we have CCTV cameras outside, outsiders can't get into offices or my work areas without using a scan pass, etc, etc. This would however not be the case.
