No, get measuring wheel pass

No I didn't know that much at first that it was METRIC when I got it, I changed it to foot, then the small adjusting screw didn't work after 1 week of use. no Don't go with that, you'll look like a workplace clown. Take the measuring wheel with the fork in front, like on a bicycle.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Requires socket

Gross inaccuracy!

17 feet measured with a tape measure shows 13 feet 2 inches on the item. That's about 23% of actual size. To know the real measurements you have to measure things, so the thing is totally useless. If it reads too long you can fix it with tape or something, but making the rubber wheel smaller is impractical.

Pros
  • Still satisfied
Cons
  • Only available in black

Cheap and very accurate.

Inexpensive and very accurate. I used it to measure network cable installation jobs and was accurate to within a foot. That was important because it meant the difference between being unsure and buying another 1000 foot reel or just the 2000 I needed for the 1950 foot reel I really needed and counting on scrap. I had no problems with this meter.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some flaws

Good tape used in building appraisals

I use gauge wheels to appraise removable pool fences. Ideal for concrete/road surfaces. The larger wheel is better for grass/mud/rocks etc. It's nice that you can roll back the wheel and the gauge wheel rolls back in feet/inches. Nice touch if you need to change the project path. It is light and folds well.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Cleanliness

Great compact bike

Bought as a gift for a surveyor a few years ago. He's seen miles of interior spaces as well as some of the exterior uses of a building perimeter - all without exception. It's not for surveying pastures or construction sites, but for the home use mentioned, it's perfect. It is very light and the telescopic handle allows the device to take up very little space for easy transport and storage.

Pros
  • Quality finish
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Inexpensive, compact range finder

This is a cheaper, less cumbersome version of a surveying tool (aka real estate and track). I am a rehab paraplegic; I measure the crutch walk I do in my neighborhood. It is precisely tailored to the foot, so I can very precisely achieve even a small increase in distance or speed. It helps me motivate myself. I walk and then ride my electric scooter with measuring wheel back out to measure the exact distance I've covered.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Great little folding tool.

I love this measuring wheel. It's small, fits in a pocket and is very light. I use it to measure very large areas (0.5 million square feet) both indoors and outdoors. Pros: It is small, compact and easy to carry. It slides out so it can be used without tipping and makes it easy to measure large or non-linear ranges. Cons: The telescopic mechanism is fragile and if you push it too hard, it curls up easily and breaks easily. While it's not glass, it's more suited to the casual user than everyday…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Useless features
