🧽 Kichwit 6-Pack Replacement Scrub Pads: Super Abrasive Green Pads (5 Inch) Review

This turned out to be just what I needed to grow grain on cedar. I use it on a Festool random orbit sander. That works great! I would imagine it would be useful for other applications where sandpaper wouldn't work because the surfaces are uneven instead of flat. I hooked my grinder up to a vacuum and wasn't sure how well these pads would let dust through, so I used a hammer drill and punched four holes in them to keep the grinder from overheating. It works great!

I used this with a FLEX XC3401 VRG dual action polisher to clean an unglazed porcelain floor prior to resealing (following the tile manufacturer's recommended methods). effectively the green and red dyes are released leaving a green or red tint to be removed. Also, my tile has rough edges in places and I found that this backing tears easily, leaving a green or red "lint" that also needed cleaning. I bought both the more aggressive greens and the less aggressive reds. Both work fine. But in the future I will only buy red ones. Green of course. For this reason, the adhesive that holds the felt to the random orbital sander does not stick very well to the sanding pad and falls off after a short period of use. It holds up well on red felt and the pads last a long time. Also, the red paint is quite abrasive, so I was able to easily remove the iron stains from the stainless steel pool walls…

I used them after a terrible grout. I grouted some heavily textured tiles and bit off more than I could chew. When I got to the excess cleaning solution, it had solidified. All of that.
