Works great on Chromebook. Fast and energy efficient.

I originally ordered an ADATA Premier SP600 128GB as a drive replacement for my Acer Chromebook 15. The ADATA SSD failed twice (not really Chromebook compatible) so I'm ordering a KingSpec. He worked for several days. Now, and there haven't been any issues, it appears to be even more energy efficient than the original Kingston SSD. My exact Chromebook model is Acer Chromebook 15 CB5-571 or Model # YUNA D25-A3G-K8A-A4P. I soon found out why ADATA failed. after i installed it. SATA Aggressiveโ€ฆ

Works great with USB3/SATA enclosure

I bought the 128GB version of this SSD card to use with a Sabrent USB 3/SATA enclosure. Originally intended as an alternative to existing USB flash drives, it has now been purchased specifically for creating a bootable USB drive for the FreeBSD operating system. This works quite well, even with the laptop's relatively limited USB 2 support. My own use of this storage device was limited to using it as a boot disk for a desktop OS - Mate desktop, Chromium, Nvidia graphics. Support, all builtโ€ฆ

So far so good Compact second SSD

I'm an IT professional and I like using high-quality, efficient and reliable hardware. I also like making the most of what the hardware has to offer. I have a Lenovo T540P I7 16GB computer as my workhorse of choice. It came with plenty of slots and ports at a price that I found quite affordable. So I love it and love charging it with electricity at a reasonable price and on a budget. So there used to be a 500GB Samsung Evo 850 SSD as the main drive and a WD 7200RPM 750GB hard drive in theโ€ฆ

Works with my old EliteBook 840 G1

I received the drive a day later than originally expected but with all the weather, pandemic and all, it wasn't a terrible hassle. The drive was easy to install, but the notches where you connect it to the computer were a little misleading. My laptop only has one notch in the socket but the drive has two. I'm not sure what's going on there, but everything seems fine. One thing really caused a bit of a disappointment with this purchase. When you install the card, you need to attach it to theโ€ฆ

Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I needed a fairly large capacity NGFF drive for a limited upgrade Dell 3050 mini pc. There aren't many SATA 2242 NGFF M.2 SSD SATA drives to choose from, and even fewer at 512GB. It was half the price of others I've found and the performance is excellent at the price. I'm not sure the small Intel Celeron processor in the Dell 3050 Mini PC will run much faster. I would highly recommend these and will definitely be buying another if they are still available if needed. Update April 2019: I boughtโ€ฆ
