Would buy again from Hardware

Exactly what we were hoping for. Nice weighted base, darn easy to assemble - arrived quickly and in perfect condition. We can hang a regular towel on each rung without touching the bottom, although you may need to fold large towels in half first or glue them to the top rung.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can't remember

Small and not worth $80

$80? For real? This item costs about $15. It's also a VERY recording; You need to fold your towels into quarters to keep them from dragging on the floor, so how do you dry them? The bottom is weighted, but it's a thin, cheap hunk of overweight flour, and the bars feel like maybe metal-coated plastic? It doesn't look very high quality and definitely not worth 80โ‚ฌ.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Periodicity

After receiving the package and assembling it, I noticed that the smaller towel rail was curved and not square. I'm about to order another one because I need it as soon as possible for a bathroom renovation and a tenant move-in. I submitted a return request and Build.com sent me a return label asking me to pay for the return postage for damaged items. Absurd. Buyer Warning.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • so far so good

Perfect fit for my new bathroom

I have just completed a total bathroom remodel that includes beautiful tiles (tiles from Italy). I want to familiarize myself with the space before even thinking about drilling holes for towel rails, so I decided to buy this base as an intermediate piece. I love it. It was very easy to assemble, well made, fits my fixtures and looks great. I can do that in my guest bathroom too. It's better than towel rails coming loose and falling off. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Faulty

Cheap workmanship and poor quality

For the price of this towel rail I expected a finish that would not scratch with minimal contact. It had scratches, and just by holding it with my bare hands, I accidentally scratched the surface with my fingernail. Also, there is 1 small screw that goes through the base to mount the vertical bar. This will not support the weight of the towel over time. Keep scrolling if you are looking for a quality product that will last.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Fits towel rail

This towel rail is just about ok. It wasn't easy to assemble for one person as all the parts needed assistance when trying to twist the bars together. The included rubber pads for the bottom corners were a joke too! They came loose when I twisted it upright. I ended up buying a sheet of sticky felt and trimming it to fit the entire floor to cover up sharp corners and rough edges that would scratch almost any floor if it wasn't covered with something. It is stable when the screws are wellโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Not worth the unit cost

Made from very thin, flimsy metal. The workmanship is of poor quality. Most annoying of all, there are no mounting tabs on the underside of the vertical shafts to align them properly. If you don't have a T-square you'll spend all day trying to align them parallel and even then it won't look right. And if nothing is blocking alignment, they will eventually curl with use. It would be nice if it was an inexpensive product like twenty dollars. But at this price it's too much money for what you get.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly
