You use a large kitchen towel and fold it in half. These towels are only half of a full towel. Hanging loops are a good idea. But I'm disappointed with the half size of the towel. The price is too high for half a towel. I will wait to buy my next hanging towels at the farmer's market once I can safely go there.

These towels are very, very good. Great addition to my kitchen. The structured tabs add a sense of volume and help with absorption I think.
