Disappointed in this model

Let me start by saying that I have been a loyal Kitchenaid customer for many years. However, this article became very unreliable a few years ago (and I just decided to post a comment for customer information) which is disappointing as I often bake for other people. He stopped working in a few aisles, started clicking, and couldn't knead bread at all. I have owned many blenders over the years and bought this one for its adaptable size and expected reliability. I was very disappointed to say the…

I've used it twice and it replaces the pro.

I have used it twice and it replaces the Pro 600. The Pro 600 lasted 4 years! That's it. After reading the reviews of people who had bought this commercial model and previously owned a 600 Pro model, I was intrigued to say the least. I do on average. (6) 20oz. Pizza dough 3 at a time per week. I will say that I saw this jump a little closer to the end of the process and it worries me. I will say that it is much quieter compared to the 600 model. The 600 was so loud! I hope that after 4 years I…

Clicks like crazy under a light load.

Got this as a Christmas present and just had an excuse to use it for the first time. The clicking is so loud it feels like the front of the car is about to fall apart. I've gone through my return period which really stinks because it would come back in a second if we used it right away. That only happens under load. We made a low batch of icing so I'm scared of what it will do when we try to make bread dough. One year later. I still have great regret buyers. Compared to my 6 quart mixer, this…

The Kitchenaid quality of the 80s is finally back!

Remember when KitchenAid made great mixers (when they were owned by Hobart)? One that didn't have any plastic or rubber parts inside? Passed down from grandparents to children? They took a break from that and started making lower quality blenders in the 1990s. This blender screams "old craftsmanship”. First, the all-metal gearing means you don't have to replace broken plastic gears after a year or two. Next is the noise level, it's a lot quieter than my old 4.5qt (flip top model). The previous…

does not sweat; worth it

This is a baker's Bentley! I have had kitchen gadgets for decades and use them in my professional kitchen/bakery and at home. But despite the fact that they are strong, they have always groaned and worked with heavy dough. Because of this, I was careful and let them rest when they were hot. I've been looking for years for that home car that was really big enough to move AND had an engine to match. It has all this and more. I'm excited about this car. What I like! Size - I can make my triple…

The ideal mixer for home cooks who bake in large batches

First, the bowl is huge. I can easily fit four 1.5 pound loaves of bread or a triple serving of biscuits. If the mixer is being used for commercial use or to bake large batches, expect to be able to make 50 medium cookies (measured with a cookie scoop) at a time. I've been trying to make large batches of cookies and while it doesn't bother the blender at all, the bowl overflows. I'm pretty sure a seven liter bowl will fit in this blender and for smaller jobs there's a small bowl/whisk for…

2 of them died with us, one 4 used at

I am very disappointed with this device. As a small business, we rely on our mixers for the important production of bread and pasta. After years of working with the KitchenAid Master, we needed something bigger, more reliable that would help us increase production. We did a lot of research and bought it in February this year. He died two weeks ago in the middle of production. We were sent a new model and it died after 4 uses. This is definitely not a device intended for commercial use. First…

Powerful drive that is worth the investment!

I am very happy with this blender! This is our fourth KitchenAid mixer in 25 years. All others still work like new - we just needed more. We wanted a heavier model for making different types of dough. The dough is the hardest part for a mixer. Commercial models have a completely redesigned gearbox. I don't know exactly how the gearbox has changed internally since it is now sealed and part of the motor assembly, but it is now a right angle configuration. Earlier models used multiple gears that…
