Well it turned out (no)

bought this to fit the deck spring. I straightened up immediately, bought something better, ended up using a press rope and a stick.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Fading

Very useful!: Tool Kits

I've used this for mower deck springs and others. It shows no signs of bending or breaking, and the mower springs are fairly stiff. Should do what I bought it for and more. Seems like a good article.

Pros
  • Hands Free Working
Cons
  • Gotcha

Simple design, works as it should

Removed old rusty springs from my old Sportsman. Works as intended, tension the spring, turn it and let it hook onto the bracket. This tool is a must, some feathers can be real PITA.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Works fine, for exhaust springs

Used on the T660 Arctic Cat to remove various exhaust springs and tailpipes. Always needed for different tasks. Works well. A soft grip cap or a larger diameter cap would be nice, but you can do without.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled

Thick sturdy hook in Fluids & Maintenance

It used to be cheap tools with aluminum wire hooks that always got me bent. I wanted a durable tool that I could toss in a track bike/spares tool box that can be relied on in an emergency at the track. unhook those extra strong exhaust springs.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • boring packaging

Just what I need for some motorcycle exhaust springs.

Just what I need for exhaust springs on some bikes. Could probably be used for brake springs or other small to medium sized springs that need to be removed or installed. I chose this one because of the price and because it has a larger handle and grip than most others I've seen. +++++

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not bad but...

Good price, good tool

Pretty solid tool. The handle is 1/4" steel, I'm not sure of the finish, but it's dark black, more like powder coated than electroplated, but I can't tell for sure. The handle is plastic covered. The overall length is 6" shorter. than I expected but a decent size. The tip is ground like a screwdriver to a sharp point to get under the spring hook. Five stars are given based on price/fit/feature.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

There are better ways

Okay, it was cheap but I felt it was underpowered. If you have an incredibly strong footpeg spring, there's no mechanical advantage to using anything other than the T-bar you can get. I dropped this thing and stretched the spring, spreading each coil individually and inserting washers or coins. There was about an inch left and I used a large screwdriver to pry it all the way through. thanks youtube

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

I'm so glad I bought this

Purchased to remove the exhaust pipe and muffler springs from a 2008 Polaris Outlaw 525S. Exhaust springs are stiff, but the spring that holds the muffler in place is strong enough that you can pull, grab the hooked end of the spring where it goes on the muffler, and pull the quad into neutral (exhaust pipes are not that one). strong). I took this tool and sat on the ground, put one foot on each side of the rear axle and removed the spring with no problem. The tool has not bent! At first I…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Upgrades
