Hands down the best wire strippers in the world

Use them at work and they are far superior to anything I have come across in the last 29 years. It's best if you protect your tools the way I buy them and you won't have a problem.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Empty

Much better than little ones!

This is amazing. I bought some little strippers very similar to these and immediately sent them back. They cut better than any pullers I've tried and the stringless cutters work amazingly.

Pros
  • Robust surface
Cons
  • Without automatic control

Another great KNIPEX tool!

I was hesitant to switch to them after years of using IDEAL brand pullers. However, I was surprised by the ease and convenience of this tool when it came to cutting SO wire, cutting multiple 10 AWG wires at once, stripping wire, removing KOs, and even deburring.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Poor instructions

Not worth the high price

They work just like any other pair except they have a screw as a hinge. This joint has too much play and it clicks and moves with every push. It was driving me crazy so I returned them and got snapper pliers for the same money.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Amazing made in Germany excellent quality and craftsmanship

There's a reason they can't be found at any retailer. I was able to pick one up at its best for $48, but it's a steal even at a much higher dollar value. I have a Klein from the US and Milwaukee a Chinese wire stripper and this Knipex version is much better. The Kliens didn't finish well, a lockdown, and they immediately started rusting in the humid Houston weather. Milwaukee, even lower quality but good as a racquet. I keep all three in oil and fat. Plastic handles treated with Ballistal…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • flimsy

The best of the best for hand tools

Klein, Milwaukee or whatever just can't keep up with Knipex. The best multi-purpose pliers on the market. If you don't have these wire strippers, needle point, pipe reamers, 8-32/6-32 screw cutters, get yours fast, they're worth every penny, cut screws like butter, stripping made easy, durable and brutal.

Pros
  • Cuts cable, wire, NM-B, BX and MC
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Nothing beats them for finishing or replacing pullers.

I don't often write reviews. I always feel like it, but I think someone else probably said what I wanted to say, or I'm busy and forget. However, they deserve a mention. I have pliers. Klein and Knipex. From each of them you get an excellent linesman. Thing is, I still don't know what they are for. They twist the wire perfectly, but don't strip it. They cut some wire, but there are often problems with larger stranded wire. After 10-3 it is very tedious to cut/insert the cable there. They're…

Pros
  • Locating combs - easy to find stripping holes with one of the locating tabs
Cons
  • Almost never

I have a problem with the stripper

good good. It's just a wire stripper, right? Not right! This is a symbol of my individuality and my belief in individual freedom. (Bonus points if you caught this quote). I love the water pumps and Knipex pliers, but their wire cutters fall short (more on that below). This prompted me to search for the perfect wire stripping tools and found it a lot harder than it first appeared, so I'll detail my findings here and hopefully save you some money and some pain. However, in an ideal universe, I…

Pros
  • spiral cuts 6-32 and 8-32 without threading and can cut either the front or the back!
Cons
  • weak
