Good range of carpets with clear explanation, nice pictures. Additional tips are well laid out. Offers everything from simple to mosaic. Only bought for a spiral mat with i-cord. Other ideas are interesting. You can adapt the patterns to an afghan shawl and some to a shawl. Will there be a price, especially if you're buying used. Note: I received a used one and the quality was excellent.

I found this book to have more ideas/patterns and great rugs than you can imagine. The selection of carpets is impressive. Multicolored carpets, carpets with weaving, paths, round. You name it and it's in the book. I think it's great that the explanations are great, the patterns are easy to understand and there is a wealth of information about the carpets themselves. This book is perfect for knitters of all levels. You'll be surprised how you used to live without this book (gifts in a jiffy).

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed this book! I'm currently working on the carpet on the cover (though in a different color scheme) and it's going great! I also have a few other rug ideas that I will be working on in the near future. The instructions in this book are so USER FRIENDLY (really well written) and the photos are excellent quality and from the right angle.
