The needles are excellent in size, shape and sharpness. The reason I am giving this product four stars instead of five is because the case has a musty smell. Also, the cords have a bulge on the right where the cord connects to the needle attachment joint, which I can already see the yarn snagging on a bit. So I would recommend buying an extra set of cables. However, the needles are great and the case (smell aside) is great.

Love the feel of these needles. Medium length tips. Not blunt and not sharp. sharper tip. This tip is good for beginners because it doesn't separate stitches with most yarns. My only issue is that the needles seem about 1/2 inch too long. The angle just isn't great at work. My other 16" or short sets have a slightly longer cord and slightly shorter needles to give a total length of 16". I'd say I'm used to it, but it's a different feeling. This is my second Knitter's Pride replacement set. Overall I like the needles as they are lighter and a little less smooth than my Nova Platina set. The new case is much better than the case on my other set, but it was terrible on the gas for the first few days. I'm not thrilled with the new color coded cables that came with this set as they are much stiffer and seem to have more memory than the old black cables that came with my other set.
