Used yesterday for edge and grooving routers

Tried them yesterday and they worked great. I installed them on my 45 year old Montgomery Wards router and they cut like butter. Very sharp, would buy again

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Appearance

The bit worked well at Router Parts & Accessories

I needed to make a slotted rail for the drawer system. This, combined with the 80/20 latch, holds the drawer slides in place. I always do the groove first, then the spline bit. It works well.

Pros
  • Hands Free Operation
Cons
  • Volume

You get what you pay for

The first cut was a disaster. The paint started peeling off the shaft, ruining the cut. They are usually a wax that peels off easily before use, but the paint applied to them is permanent and will need to be scraped off. The unpainted areas are badly rusted and I only bought them a week ago. I would not buy again.

It's funny how close they are.

I gave them four but it might be a little high. It took me a lot of time to get them out of business. I appreciate good packaging but I was beginning to think they were welded to the body. I've used them twice and the performance was as advertised. If you're using a T-rail bit, you really need to be using it on softwood.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Requires Socket

Happy to have them in two sizes

Thought the larger drill bit would work for the job. And I was wrong. The smaller one worked great. I created a jig, attached it to the workpiece, and then lowered it and pulled it forward about a half inch to create the keyway. After cleaning sawdust, the keyhole looks great. Practice on a pry bar a few times first.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Disappear

Great for making keyholes for hanging things!

Nice little things! I'm a cutting board maker and sometimes I get strange requests. One of them in the past was creating a way to hang cutting boards on the wall. This is the perfect solution, I use it in my Bosch plunge router and can quickly add a hanging slot. The router cuts cleanly and quickly without sticking. I've had it for about 3 months now and I've used it a few times, it's still sharp after cutting some very hard wood from northerners. I have attached a photo of my test piece, I…
