A few months ago I brought some of these combs with me. I use them twice a day for each of my cats. The size is comfortable in the hand for combing. Part of the crest may be slightly longer. I like to swallow hair and fleas with my fingers and put them in a glass of soapy water. Fleas can get caught between the wire combs and need to be pulled out. They didn't bend or break.

I bought this comb for my rabbit - it has so many fleas on it! Advice; Keep a cup/bowl of hot water filled with soap next to you when using this comb. I say this because if you catch flies by combing your pet's fur, you obviously need a place to house those fleas. In this case. Dipping a flea comb in soapy water will kill them quickly, especially when it comes to dish soap! :)

My wonderful vet recommended this for brushing my cat who hated every other brush/comb we've tried. But she would endure that if I used it often enough. I would give this usage between 4 and 5. Due to the severity of my arthritis, I now wear braces on my arms. The occupational therapist who made the braces suggested using the same cat comb to remove the lint and velcro hair. I don't think it works at all. I would rate this usage a 1.
