Excellent 2 lvl for the money

Excellent value for money. Installing a 6-20 socket wasn't difficult. The difference in charging time is very noticeable from a standard 12 amp socket to a 16 amp 240V socket. This will charge at around 11 mph. So even if you only spend 8 hours a day at home, you drive about 88 miles a night.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Negative gift

Great L2 home charging solution

I bought this to provide L2 home charging for our Kia Soul EV. I had an existing NEMA 6-20 outlet in the garage and it was (literally) a plug and play solution. I attached some brackets to the wall to hang everything when not in use. Only used for a few days but so far works great.

  • Handy item
Cons

Inexpensive for workshop and shop

I bought this charger for my BMW X3 Hybrid. An electrician came to my garage to install a 240 volt outlet in my garage so I could charge my car faster. So far this has worked great! I also bought a bracket which was also helpful in allowing everything to stay on the floor and tidy when not in use. So far this product seems to be very good value for money (let's hope it lasts!).

Ideal for charging stations

This item was exactly what I needed to charge my Honda Clarity. It charges from empty to full in about 4 hours. If you want/need a 2.5 hour charge you will need to buy a 32 amp unit and have a dedicated 40 amp switch. Not sure why some say it's a tight fit. Snaps in and out easily. No questions. You definitely don't need a loose fitting charger!

Double check your prong type

This arrived quicker than expected and comes in a stunning case that I can reuse. I didn't pay enough attention to the style of the pen to connect it to the wall. I made sure my amps and car mount are fine. I had to buy a less than $20 plug to use at home, but the charging cable was great value, cheaper than many, and works great. No loud buzz like others I've had.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Gotcha

Good Price Low Current L2 Charger

This worked great for my Chevy Volt which is limited to 16A at 240V for L2 charging. I evaluated various 240V plug options and was able to order a unit that would work on the existing 240V/20A circuit in my garage with no modifications required. It comes with a rubber cap that slips over the end of the charging connector when not in use, and comes with a handy carrying case. The price was very reasonable and is a good basic charger.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Reliability

Works well - workshop and shop

Works as advertised, never had a problem with it except for the first day. It didn't come with a 220v to 110v adapter (and I mostly charge 110v) so I had to buy one. I found a "15 amp household AC plug to 20 amp T-Blade adapter" for $8. It's also worth noting that the fit on your car will likely be snug at first, however this is not a problem and will go away over time. I wish it was a foot or two longer, but that's not a problem. It works well and if I needed a different charger I would…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Commercial availability

Works with Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring Hybrid!

We have finally found a solution to our new Aviator Hybrid's charging problem. When using 220V chargers, the car will charge, but an error is always reported in the charging system if the chargers are disconnected. The factory charger performed just as well as the EvoCharge bought out of desperation. I asked an electrician to check my 220v circuit. I ran to the shop and he said everything was fine. The dealer just kept blaming my house wiring and we wanted to sell this car with only 6,000 miles
