Works great - electric

I bought this to use as a backup generator as I live in Central Florida near the coast. I cut off the female end of the wire and installed this connector, making a sort of "suicide wire" to be used between my generator and my house (my generator and switch have female connectors).

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

No complaints yet

Ideal for 7000w generator; I'm going to plug it into a 50 amp 6 GA 3-wire (plus ground) outlet for a DIY adapter. Hopefully the plug will be able to take 6 GA 3 wire. I'll probably buy a 25ft 10GA extension cord to place the generator outside of the house when it's running.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Upgrades

Good plug. in Electrical

This connector meets all my expectations for a 30 amp four conductor connector Once assembled there are no exposed electrical parts, the cable clamps work well and conform to the cable. The holders have spacers that can be removed for longer cables without getting too tight. The price is reasonable. I would love to find a female version for the same price.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Legacy model

Good quality plug suitable for electricians

Needed for a short pigtail and worked great. I've also used cheaper non-branded products and this is better. The plastic feels tougher like it could actually take some abuse. The screw terminals were comfortable to use and the cable pull mechanism is effective, although I wouldn't call it very waterproof. It would be pretty easy for water to get into the fork. So if you want to be waterproof I would go for something else.

This works for alternators with a 30Amp 4 pin connector

Connector looks well built. I personally like the transparent back so you can inspect the connections when tightening the screws. The only complaint I have is the 2 bolts holding the fork face to the body, the threads are very tight and if reassembled and disassembled too many times I think they will loosen and become unusable. But for me it won't be a problem because I plan to use it for my generator only. But overall I would recommend this fork.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Update available

The generator must be

Thank goodness Revain had them in stock before Hurricane Irma hit Florida. Local stocks were long gone, but I was able to finish my generator cable 2 days before the hurricane made landfall. The connectors inside took the 6 AWG wire I had laying around, but the wire clamp/strain relief struggled with 3/1 that size. I'm pretty sure this will work fine with 10 AWG. It worked perfectly for 2 days before the power came back. FYI there is nothing waterproof on this fork so I filled the back with…

The cheapest connector and it works!

Recently bought a generator. Decided to make a 220 pigtail to feed back to our house during the outage (we will have two panels in series, both networks will be reversed and we will connect to the second panel). Went to stock at home and this fork was $29. Luckily we did that beforehand so they didn't let us get out of control. I got it for half price with free shipping thanks to Amazon Prime. The product appears to be of good quality. As far as I know Leviton is a good brand. Screw terminals…

Good quality plug, great price and delivery

I needed to make a pigtail for my DuroMax XP4400E generator to connect to a 50A trailer plug socket. The outlet was a reasonable $12, but the L14-30 plugs were $25! I pulled the Revain app onto my phone and found it at a much cheaper price of around $15 with Revain Prime shipping within two days. As always, Revain delivered reliably. The connector itself is great, very easy to assemble with screw terminals that handle solid or stranded wire with ease. Инструкции немного странные, так как это…

Excellent fit for my Generator/Welder

This is a well made, heavy duty L14-30 plug rated at 30Amp at 240v wire. There's also a screw-in strain relief that tightens the cable so the cable doesn't pull on the connectors when you pull on them. Each of the tubes you insert the wires into is clearly labeled W, G, X, Y for the 4 wires used. This fork is well made and does its job well. I tighten the #10 wire (which should be used to support the 30 amps possible). It is designed to accommodate a wire of this size. I feed my 10-4 flex…
