High quality for towing food and winches

This is a great option for installing a Propride/Hensley Arrow hitch on a front cover caravan. I couldn't use the standard Propride connectors so that was my only option and they work great. Very easy to lift even with full hitch load (i.e. jack retracted). Great product that looks like it will last a long time. Can't comment on how this affects trailer sway as I don't have it with the Propride hitch. One comment: The kit I received does not have a closed triangular loop as shown in the…

Do yourself a favor and buy them!

I bought a set for our new Bullet Premier 31BHPR, 6700lbs empty, 8000lbs loaded. After working with chains for years, I stumbled across them. WOW! Doesn't matter. Significantly quieter when towing and so easy tensioning of the spring bars. I use a long ratchet and socket to tighten them. They have a series of points on the straps so you can tighten them the same way. The ratchet system on the straps also provides more precise tensioning of the bars, unlike chains. The only downside I see with…

Major QC issues on these products

I don't know yet how they will pull but I have a broken ratchet like some others. The teeth are aligned and snap well on 1 mechanism, but on the other hand the teeth are misaligned and therefore either attached to the external teeth but not to the internal teeth or vice versa. Quality control is obviously an issue as I've read other reviews on these issues and at this price point I didn't expect others to have to check the internal and external gears on both gears to make sure they meshed on…

it will handle it fine thanks

I bought this kit to use on my 32ft Forest River TT towed by my Mercedes ML350 tdi. Yes, that can be handled, thank you. Problem with Straptek, but. When I tried to connect it all went fine until I tightened the straps. The left ratchet failed, causing the bar to suddenly break. It would really hurt if my leg was underneath! The ratchet system appears to be faulty as the pawls do not engage on both sides at the same time, which is a manufacturing defect. To date, Lippert hasn't fixed the…

They sent me a returned kit, definitely not a new one

UPDATE: It's been less than a year since I bought them and as I wrote in my original review the small normal piece of wire failed and broke after only a few rides. I have contacted customer service and still have not received a response. A great idea. Bad mechanism and even worse customer service. look elsewhere If they come back with me and take care of it I will update my review accordingly. For the time being I'm taking my 3 star rating down to 1 star. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Makes a stable and…

Good product. Best in Tow Straps

This makes my least favorite part of camper packing easy. To get enough tension on the weight distribution bars I actually worked on a jack and struggled to get the maximum tension on the tracks. Two weeks into a three week trip, I sent them camping. Installation was easy. There were no instructions in the kit but there was no point. There is a short video on YouTube and instructions on the Lippert website. The straps have a hook end instead of the triangle shown and a loop is sewn into the end

They are easy to assemble

These are the best prerequisites for the correct tensioning of the spring bars of the weight distribution coupling. I have replaced my original pull ups that came with the Blue Ox WD clutch I own with these. They're easy to install, work better than I ever thought possible, and with them I don't have to jack the trailer up again after I've attached it to the truck hitch. Lower the trailer onto the hitch ball and once the hitch is lowered far enough to engage, connect the StrapTeks to the spring

Teeth don't match. Lippert refuses to help!

The quality of this device is terrible. The first set I received had two mounts on the passenger side. I contacted Lippert and they refused to help. They said I should have bought them from an authorized dealer and not Revain. The problem is when you go from the Lippert website to buy Straptek (like I did) you are taken to the Lipperts Revain store page! I bought them from a Lippert dealer, so I don't know why the CS guys in the landing gear department refused to help with the three-step…
