Important dimensions are missing

Single stage replaced with dual stage; but although they were both made by Lippert, the single step was 26 inches wide and the double step only 25 3/8 inches. I used the thick rubber washer I had, but it would help to provide accurate measurements. The double stage is significantly heavier than the single stage and again accurate weights had to be provided.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Available in white only

Good product, needs a little adjustment.

steps work well and are a direct replacement for my damaged steps. I had to move my braces. Since the old brackets were riveted, short bolts had to be used to adapt to the new block. One problem was that the front top bracket screw heads interfered with the opening and closing of the steps. Had to spot weld them to get a gap to make it work. Otherwise the steps work fine.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Chinese POS - garbage!

This is Chinese piece of shit. I sent it back. The main issue is that the increment sizes and the specs on the box don't match what LCI has listed on their website for that part number, so it won't fit between my existing brackets. , it's a flimsy and flimsy feeling compared to the FlexCo/Stromberg ladder I currently have on my trailer. I will be purchasing a Stromberg/FlexCo stepladder, made in the USA and of excellent quality.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Crumpled

A bit bulky to store

My 8 year old staircase sagged a bit so I bought a solid replacement. Neither the Stromberg Carlson nor the Lippert looked like an exact replacement as the slots and cams were not the same as my OEM. I ordered a Stromberg Carlson and found it to be about 1/2" too wide for the chassis flanges. Returned it; ordered Lippert which fits perfectly. with original shoulder studs and no mods. The slots and cams doing the folding were different than my OEM, but the steps fold in exactly the same place…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Unusable features

Know what to measure

I'm not sure I understood what to measure to match the design. The steps were about 5 inches wider than the previous steps. So I flipped the outriggers so they were facing the other way and on opposite sides. That gave me enough room to add steps. I had to drill a hole in the frame for the outrigger to make up the difference (the outrigger flexed when we banged the original steps against the rock, shifting the steps to the point where they needed to be replaced). back in shape. I'm a 74 year…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • boring packaging

Perfect fit, good quality, know what you need before you buy it.

Replacing the single tier with a Jayco down feather. This double step was an exact substitute. Installation took less than 15 minutes, they removed the old and installed the new. Well made, better than OEM, easy to fold and unfold. I put some lithium grease on the guides. The only downside is the lever, the bottom step flexes a bit when I step on it but the weight limit is 300lbs and my 6ft is 3230lbs so I'm going to the max limit. I carry a 5" tall brick placed under the step on the floor…

Pros
  • Very impressive

Big improvement - after a bit of tweaking

Our OE level (one level only) gave us an 11 inch standoff from the RV. Building codes don't seem to apply to RVs. so bad but we were a little nervous that someone might slip so we looked for a better way. We have a Lippert chassis so it seemed wise to swap out the old single stage version for a two stage Lippert version. Others have noted that there is a small gap (side to side) that needs to be filled with washers and this turned out to be the case. A couple of stainless steel washers used as…
