Worked well on my front crankshaft oil seal Ford Flathead

Worked fine on my Ford flat head crankshaft oil seal front. It's not perfect, but I got the job done without removing the oil pan or crankshaft pulley. I recommend it to anyone who needs to replace the cable seal and doesn't want to complicate the job.

Pros
  • . Everything is great!
Cons
  • Some errors

Not worth the money

When I received it I was immediately amazed at how cheaply it was made. Not that you could reasonably expect anything else for the price, but it was the only tool of its kind that I could find. My worst fears were confirmed the first time I tried it to replace a leaking rear main seal. He broke right away.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Almost never

Terrific! in Tools & Equipment

Unpacked, put on the cart, tucked under my 1950 Willys Van, emergency light on, started inserting a sneaky tool into the rope's top seal, used it in the grabbed 9th a few times /16 long head turned more turns, then I pulled the old meanness by turning the crank, and suddenly the cable seal came out. I can't believe how easy it was. Ten minutes maximum. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • This is amazing

Didn't work on a Ford Y block to remove the wire seal.

The corkscrew part used to remove the top wire seal from the Ford Y 292 block was unusable. The sealing surface is too small and the tool cannot be screwed in. I ended up attaching the Bubba with a very thin concrete screw with a hex end. Used a wrench to screw it in, attached a couple of vise grips to the hex end and pulled hard which turned the crankshaft. Made several attempts but removed the seal. The next option was to remove the engine and crankshaft. Cable seal replaced with neopreneโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for training purposes

WORK LIKE A CHAMPION!

My '89 Dodge Ram 318 block had a cable seal and I couldn't get it out. I bought this bad boy and he pulled it out with ease. tips. 1) Be sure to unscrew and loosen the main cap bolts on the crank and tap with a rubber mallet to lower the caps and crank slightly. 2) Tighten the corkscrew removal tool. Don't overdo it or you'll break it. Even though it's made of steel, it can still break. Tighten enough to get adequate resistance. 3) Lock the vise grips around the pin ring area. This ring willโ€ฆ
