Description of πŸ”§ Lisle 56200 Air Bag Removal Tool, Mopar: Safely Remove Air Bags with Ease

The wire spring clips are difficult to remove because they are very hard to see. There are three airbag retainer access holes on the back of the steering wheel. Used on Jeep Liberty (kk), Chrysler/Dodge mini Van (RT/RM), Dodge Nitro (KA), Dodge Ram truck (DS), Chrysler pt Cruiser (pt), and Jeep Wrangler (JK).

Works Great - Heavy Duty & Commercial Vehicle Equipment

When you remove the Ram 2500 Generation 4 steering wheel airbag, it's a tool. You can use a screwdriver, a bit makes it easier. I assume this will work on other FCA vehicles with similar airbag settings.

Pros
  • Rugged Construction
Cons
  • Almost Everything Works

Essential Airbag Removal Tool

If you have a Ram this is a must have tool to make removing the steering wheel airbag much easier! You can do without it, but it will be a big headache.

Pros
  • Multiple Competitors
Cons
  • No Instructions

Great for 2014 Ram 1500

I wish I could buy this tool first. Instead I tried to use a normal tool. Big mistake. With the other tool it took me 4 times longer. As soon as I tried that, my airbag went off within 5 minutes. Highly recommend for 2014 Ram 1500.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Hard to say

Easy to use, save a lot of time compared to the screwdriver method.

I really liked it, it was made to get the job done and does it well. it really just slips and well just works, i saw a video where someone tried to do it with a screwdriver. it was easily worth the price. It takes longer to screw in the two Phillips screws at 6 o'clock than to pull out the airbag.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Band

Doesn't work on 2006 PT Cruiser

I should have listened to one of the other reviewers on here. Although this tool is advertised by Lyle for use with the PT Cruiser, it does not fit my 2006 PT Cruiser in any way. The tool is too wide to fit in the hole that the clamp is in. I had to improvise a pry bar with a short flathead screwdriver resting on top of another screwdriver running perpendicular to it so I could pry it open. I chewed on the plastic surface a bit, but I didn't want to fucking pay $100 for a Mopar tool. I'm not…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Very expensive
