Worked for my use. fits circlips and gaskets

Never noticed how tight gas tanks are. I didn't want to slow down like a screwdriver with that cheap plastic and metal. This tool came in very handy when I changed the gas tank on a 130,000 mile car.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • upgrades

Great buy for the do-it-yourselfer

This saved my locking ring from constant hammer and screwdriver hits. Now I just set the instrument up and use the power handle and voila! it comes out. You can use some WD 40 when screwing it back in. It helps me. A real time saver.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Frequency

2002 TBird Fuel Tank Retainer Ring

As you can see from the photos they don't have extra room to get to the fuel pump but I was able to remove the retainer ring using Lisle 63000 Fuel. Tank retaining ring tool. This adjustable tool fits many different size retaining rings. This is a very powerful tool.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • I'll write back later

This is a well-made tool.

I liked the way it was arranged. This is a quality tool. Unfortunately it didn't fit my car. Until I found one who can. I contacted the dealer and was told that the tool supplied by the manufacturer would not work. The mechanic told me to knock them off with a hammer.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Not suitable for Nissan Murano fuel tanks.

I was hoping to avoid buying a $180 Nissan Murano gas cap tool by buying this one instead. Bad call from me. This tool only has two contact points instead of the eight that the official tool has. Returning the covers for this car with that would take God. Otherwise it's very durable and adjustable and will probably work great on most other vehicles.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • I'll add later

Works great and is well made

I bought this on the recommendation of another Revain review and it works great. Had to replace the fuel pump on my Polaris RZR XP 1000 and this tool made the job very easy. Don't fight with screwdrivers, punches or pliers. Buy this tool and get the job done in minutes. Very well made and should last forever. Excellent value for money, very solid construction and perfect thickness.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Great Tool: Fuel System

Very good, very strong (1/4 gauge steel), well adjustable tool. Replacing a failed 2003 Mazda Tribute fuel pump became a walk in the park - I was done in about 25 minutes! No nonsense with a screwdriver and hammer. Crafted and finished both ways, open and closed. I used a crescent wrench to tighten the wing nuts as recommended by another review here. and then you break the fuel lines, if not your knuckles. This one is hard as a tank. No pun. I recommend this tool.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Available in Black Only

got a job! suitable for fuel system

Pay attention to the depth of the grooves on both sides. This is necessary for reliable adhesion to the ribs of the plastic cover. There are competing products that I have used that are cheaper, wasting hours and days. Make sure you use the longest wrench you can get for enough torque and twist like your life depended on it. The cap is unscrewed like a normal screw (counterclockwise is loosened). Good luck with the fuel pump swap! This was my first job and I couldn't have done it without this…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • There are nuances

I used this tool to remove a ring on a 1998 Jeep TJ fuel tank. The fingers on the tool are designed to tighten the full length of the ribs on the ring, meaning you can actually apply torque without fear of damaging the nylon ribs. In my case the ring was so frozen I had to loosen it with an impact wrench. Again, the tool has a good design, the central hex head can be used with any tool with a socket, crowbar or, like me, a percussion tool. You are not limited to the grip on the instrument…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Empty
