These locks appear to be secure. The loops will not break or twist. They will certainly take on the task of slowing someone down if they want to get into your luggage. The only thing I would like to change is how the red button resets when the lock has been opened. It is very easy to pull the trigger and release the lock. Makes it easier for the owner, but also makes it easier for anyone who opens it and would rather not know.

The lock is quite good. It's all metal. It's a little clunky compared to others. The thickness of the case is about 15mm at its widest point. The width of the locking pin is 2.5 to 3.0 mm. The locking pin does not go into the lock body when locking, but only rests on a rather flat area of the "pool". which has a depth of about 2 mm.
