I bought this vane pump to replace the pump that came with the 35 gallon tank/pump I bought here at Revain. This pump worked well the first 4-5 times I used it. I've only used it to fill up about 5 gallons of diesel at the moment but it seems to be working fine. When reassembling I used an oil resistant pipe thread sealant. I believe the pump body is carbon steel and coated in paint. Someone has complained about metallic spots or metallic paint chipping in the engine oil, but I haven't had that problem yet. I recently bought a small diesel tractor and wanted to stock up on gas for the winter. After filling the 50 gallon keg it occurred to me that I would need a pump to pump out the diesel! I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars on a pump so I checked out Revain. This pump had pretty good reviews and was inexpensive, so I bought it.
