No kidding! I use this filter wrench to open large jars or large mouthed containers that I can't get my hands on. Works perfectly.

Works about 75 times to remove the filter, but failing to do so will begin to curl and warp. Since it's adjustable, don't let it be rigid as it's not a durable tool. I still like it but wish it was thicker to handle more torque.

Wrenches or tape are flexible, rubber is the only grip but will wear out over time. If you drop oil on a band or key, it will slip and slide, making the job even more difficult. I bought a set of 32 universal caps. worked much better

Just out of the box and trying to remove the fuel/water separator filter on a Cummings van engine. The aluminum tape was bent and punctured through the filter, creating a mess and resulting in the inability to remove the filter. I don't recommend diesel mechanics

Advertised as Heavy Duty. For the price, I should have guessed that the product was too good to be true. It's cheaply made and doesn't work properly. Very frustrating. I ended up sticking a long neck of a screwdriver right into my old filter and using it to unscrew it. Messed up the oil but worked 10x better than that junk.

My husband had one of these (same brand) that I bought for him almost 20 years ago. He had recently "disappeared" from his tools and was in dire need of another filter wrench. I was so happy to find the exact same thing and ordered two of these in case the other one was out of place. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has chosen to replace the rubber strip inside the key with a foam strip that tends to slip off when trying to turn the oil filter.
