Perfectly accurate parking every time

We received this parking mat when we got a new car that was 4 inches longer than the one we had parked on the shorter side of our garage. We needed accurate parking spots to say the least. The great thing about this mat is that the bumps are right up against each side of your tire. There is no margin for you to go wrong. Also, the first bulge is big enough that you can feel it, but small enough that you can easily roll over it instead of partially sitting on it. The second, locking bar, is high

It works. Just not wide enough.

Not many reviews for this item. The price is good, the double sided tape on the back holds well but can be removed if you need to collect it (I had to transport it to the garage). The first bump is very noticeable and the second bump cannot be negotiated without effort, at least in my car. Although I have a sports car, it might be easier to roll over if you had a large SUV. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it's not wide enough. It's basically the exact width of my front…

Need a stronger design

I have owned this rug for just over a year. I agree with another reviewer that the mat should be made of rubber and not plastic. Although I tighten the mat slowly, the front wheel stopper of the mat is wrinkled. There is not enough tape on the mat and the mat moves. I solved this problem by installing four 2-1/2" pan-head Tapcon screws in the pre-drilled holes in the mat and in the concrete floor of my garage. UPDATE: I bought another parking mat and filled the cubes on the bottom with clear…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fragile

Ideal for garage parking. Get rid of the old tennis ball and put this one on the ground instead. The sticky resin on the underside works well for a while, but don't count on it for too long and don't turn the steering wheel when you park on it. Luckily it has 4 reinforced screw holes that can (if possible) be used to drill through the concrete floor (impact drill, masonry bit and concrete screws are recommended). It is made of durable material and will last for years. I replaced them because…

Works but note a few issues

Bought two of these for our garage. The mats themselves are good, could be a bit bigger for today's big SUV wheels. Works great with my Kia Soul, you can easily feel a small bump and a big bump reliably stops the car. Not great with my Jeep Grand Cherokee 4x4. The first problem is that unless you hit the mat directly, it's difficult to feel a slight shock. A little to the side and you'll hardly feel it, and it's easy to roll over a big bump and mistake it for a smaller one. A more serious…

Attached very well to clean the concrete floor of the garage

First of all it works GREAT! It's the perfect and easy solution to knowing exactly how far to progress. This is exactly what we need and a lot cheaper than the sensor and/or laser alternatives which I'm sure are good but not as easy or inexpensive as these. held in place very well. I thought that if the tire hits the rear "bump" on the mat, the weight pressing on it could cause the mat to lose traction and move. Don't worry, it stayed perfectly in place. I made sure I had a clean, dry concrete…

  • Trial period for one year

Stays securely in place (if you do)

As other reviews have noted, there is nothing about this material that sticks so it doesn't stay in place. But if you like me, it will stay safe (on a concrete garage floor) for 4 years. Clean the concrete well with soap, rinse several times and wipe with Windex. If your concrete contains a lot of oil, use triple superphosphate (TSP) instead of soap. It is sold in hardware stores for this purpose or as a fertilizer in garden supply stores. Be sure to remove all of the oil from the concrete and…

Stop right there - every time

This red park assist was just what I needed to go with my laser pointer but it can work great on its own. I added this to provide a warning and a solid physical garage parking notch is spot on. I have a large triangular wedge, but it hits the Civic Type R's very low front spoiler. The rear brace so I don't get too far into the garage. Once you're in the right position, just mark a spot, move the car to the side, and peel off the tape (I added more DFT, but it's not necessary). First, thoroughly
