Big puzzle with big pieces for little hands

This is a gift for a 2 year old boy who loves ALL vehicles. Great puzzle for beginners, not too difficult and kids hands can handle it!

Pros
  • A little bit of competition
Cons
  • A little bit of little things

My toddler loves it

My toddler was introduced to this puzzle by his speech therapist, it only took my son a few times to make this puzzle his favorite piece of therapy. Our therapist uses it to encourage juniors to imitate sounds or match a sound to a piece. Because he loves it so much we have to buy our own.

Pros
  • Hands Free
Cons
  • Expensive

happy with purchase

I bought it because he has cars and my son has a lot of zoo and farm animal toys. as they are stocky they can stand on their side and children can also play a little. my only small doubt is that i would like it if the pictures were less cartoony and small and more real. A helicopter puzzle piece would be nice too.

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Hard to say

Perfect for little hands

My 21 month old loves this puzzle. The figures are easy for small hands to fit, and the chunky pieces can even be positioned to double as figures. The only downside is that the pieces have a certain weight, so if your son throws them in your face, it will hurt like a mother. Ask me how I know. It's still worth the time he spends playing with it.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend

Disappointed with the quality

A good puzzle but the quality was disappointing. Some edges are jagged, uneven coloring (look at the wheels in the attached photo) and minor damage/chips on one piece under the box. I checked the other photos posted in the reviews section and saw that others had painted correctly. So disappointed! Waiting for a replacement product and hoping it looks better.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I don't remember

no tree Paint peels off easily

My son has stopped putting these things in his mouth but these things fall apart after a few months of use. The edges have started to peel off heavily, and now the corners are diverging, and it is clear that this is not a tree at all. This is compressed cardboard, similar to material that will easily peel off. And the paint on the front can be easily scratched off with a fingernail. This is 2 months after he was only given an ordinary game.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Almost OK

Handy for little hands, well made, pictures below Details

My daughter loves this puzzle! She's two years old, so she can saw jigsaw puzzles with the small pegs, but she prefers a firm grip on those thick pieces. The pictures under the details also help to understand where each detail belongs. The wood and paint are of a very high quality and I expect many children will enjoy this puzzle for many years to come. I definitely plan on getting more Melissa and Doug puzzles in the future.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Two toys in one, good for jigsaw puzzles

I have several of these three dimensional puzzles - vehicles and animals. The puzzles are big and colorful, but the puzzle pieces become a second toy. The children have a large floor mat with pictures of roads, railroad tracks and all sorts of buildings and places. So - a police car goes to the police station, a school bus to the school, a fire truck to the fire station, a plane to the airport - other puzzles provide animals for the farm and the zoo. Just a few puzzles will give you everything…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Other Other

An excellent learning tool. Doubles up like a toy. Or the other way around.

Melissa and Doug seem to have taken the reins of the company again. Received my set in March 2017 and the parts sound solid and drawn (no stickers as mentioned in old reviews!). My 2 year old easily solves the puzzle but loves practicing the names and sounds for each piece. Because the blocks are thick, they can stand on their own, allowing her to play with them as well as learn. This led me to clunky riddles instead of brain teasers. She shares them with her 9 month old sister who uses them…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Negativity is present
