Not a very good experience.

Labels were not printing on my Canon printer. I thought my printer was broken, but it can still print everything else in black and white and color, including photos. Upon installation, you will be redirected to a website offering a new version from a company other than Memorex, who appear to have purchased the product from Memorex. Not a very good experience.

Pros
  • One year trial

Express IT Software

The Express IT Software is the same as the SureThihng Software which I have had for 15 years. I could not download the software on my Windows 8 operating system. The Express-it software downloads and works with Microvision's SureThing, boots into Windows 8 with no problems and works just like my old SureThing software! It is very easy to copy images into the scanner, transfer the image to the program and print.

Looks much more professional

I am a photographer and I give my clients a CD of edited images at every session. I was looking for something to make my rims look more professional. That's exactly what it did! I love it! I can take one of my images from a session and put it straight onto disk. It's so easy and looks so amazing! It took a while to set up, but once everything's set up and on your computer, it's easy to type every time.

All right with office electronics

It is very easy to use and the covers that come with it are printed with bright and vivid images. The DVD/CD cases were a big disappointment to me. 1) Prints are dull and faded. 2) Glue doesn't stick well. After a single use in a DVD/Blue Ray player, the ends start to peel off and the DVD starts to skip (because of the heat of the player I think). I have a glue stick to fix the problem. In general everything is fine. If you're buying I recommend getting a tube of glue stick. You will need it.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Does the job right.

I bought this to mark a disc set I ordered that contained all the 1965 Dodgers/Twins World Series games. They came in plain packaging with no labels, and the discs were meant to be a gift for someone. The hardest part was finding images to use. Creating labels was very easy. The forms fit my printer easily, the software was well documented and easy to use, and there was a bracket to make labeling really easy and accurate. In general, disc labeling with Memorex Label Maker went very well.

Just what I needed for the upcoming deadline

I bought the Memorex Label Maker Expert Kit primarily because I couldn't find my label applicator and since I needed to buy a new one, I signed up for chose this kit because it also included labels. I'm glad I did. The software that came with it was easy to use and I was able to quickly create photo and text labels. The supplied label pages matched well when I ran them through our color copier. I've used other branded labels in the past but in the future I plan to only use Memorex because it…

For $10 it's ok. on Other Office Equipment

Ten dollars worth a try. It took me a heck of a lot of time to calibrate my printer properly to print CD labels correctly. In fact, I probably "lost" about half of the included labels just trying to get it right. The real crap is there. But after checking the test sheet (for calibration) a few more times, it finally worked properly. Floor. I put the disc under a heavy book overnight and it seems better now. But I don't know what happens when I put it in a warm CD player. This can lead to an…

Not a good experience

For starters, I have Windows 7 and haven't had any problems downloading the software as other users have mentioned. That being said, I found the software extremely confusing and outdated. I use Photoshop CS4 regularly and couldn't believe this CD labeling software could be more complex. I just don't have enough options in terms of color matching, moving text and images, or just general design. I ended up just finding a Word template online and using it. It took a lot less time. Also, the labels

Terrible product with such a missed potential.

Product comes with label applicator as advertised. It works perfectly for the lettering. Too bad it was the only part of the kit that really worked properly. First, there are no "138" labels for discs in the kit. You have about 15 sheets of 8 different labels: 2 'disc' labels, 2 'ring' labels, 2 jewel case back labels and 2 'reusable labels' - that's 120 labels. Ring labels are designed for use on double-sided discs, but can also be used to extend a single-sided disc label to the innermost…
